I know this is 9 years late 👀but usually you have to use a different embouchure than they teach in band for trombone/euphonium. Basically you don't press your lips together and blow to buzz. Rather your lips should barely touch/even have a pin needle sized space in the middle of your lips and when you blow it'll create a resistance that brings the lips together to produce a more open sound. The way you buzz into the horn should not work when buzzing into just your mouthpiece at least when going for warm middle tones. *TLDR: don't press the lips together so hard*

Howard Nickerson I am a trumpet player, and I can honestly say that I have never felt any sort of resent toward trombone players, or any other brass players for that matter.
