As you know, this is the last video I'm uploading in 2023. This video is about cars that share engines, regardless of their class. Some hypercars and sports cars share engines with luxury cars and daily commuter cars.

I feel like there should be a part 2 to this video, there's more cars that share the same engines out there. e.g. Dodge viper and the Devon GTX, Ferrari Enzo and MC12, and the '99 Ford Lightning to the 2005 Ford GT, Cool video and happy 2024.

Great video. My Infiniti G35 shares the same motor with the Nissan 350Z as well. Interestingly the Dodge Viper engine was based on a V10 used in a Dodge truck.

It doesn't tell you a whole story when you don't mention who created the engine. For example I didn't know from video who sourced from who the engine between Focus and Volvo wagon, but I think it's lot less unusual when I knew that Volvo v8 was made by Yamaha basically

it's funny that ford made the best v8 that ended up in the one of the sexiest and best exotic/supercar the ccx but better known as just koenigsegg because the jesco I'd basically the latest evaluation of that car and so has the engine over the years but still mustang GT 5.0 or shelby 5.2 derived

V10 Gallardo ans V10 Audi S8 is not the same base engine Gallardo has a 5l V10 designed by Lamborghini and used only by Lamborghini. It does not have direct injection V10 FSI on Audi is based on the V8 FSI with direct injection Only the Gallardo LP560 has a 5.2l V10 based on the Audi V10 the Lamborghini 5.0 V10 has a cylinder bore spacing of 88 millimetres between centres, whereas the Audi 5.2 V10 cylinder bore spacing is 90 millimetres (3.54 in), the same as the Audi 4.2 FSI V8

I forgot to mention the liter displacement of the V10 in the Audi S8. FYI I knew that the V10 in the Gallardo and the Audi S8 are not the same base engine. According to research, like you said the original Gallardo has a 5L V10 designed by Lamborghini. In 2006, the LP560 was upgraded to a 5.2L V10 and that engine was shared with the Audi S8. I'm pretty sure I wasn't wrong about anything unless I said otherwise.

You got the McLaren one wrong. The closest relative to the S70 in the F1 would be the S50B28 from the E36 m3. Tbh the one from the e36 m3 gt is probably even closer with a hp to liter rating identical to the F1 its even half the capacity.

How did I get that wrong? The E34 M5 wagon prototype had the S70/2 V12 engine before BMW installed the same V12 in the McLaren F1. All the information is from research.

First of all this information was never publicly stated by bmw m GmbH but rather comes from an interview with David Clark so it's already questionable. Also it doesn't fit to your video because the rest of the cars are all publicly sold road cars while here you compare it to a one of prototype car which doesn't really make much sense because companies do this type of thing often where for testing purposes they put engines from different models into mule chassis.

Mclaren F1 had an engine based on the one in the prototype BMW E31 M8, (and loosely on the old sohc, 24v, M70 B50 V12 from the 7 series E32) the m5 might have been a test mule at most but ive neverheard of it and I doubtthey wouldbe able to fit a DOHC V12 in the e34 engine bay, even the M8 had to have the pop up headlighs removed and it didn't have a standart just hydraulic brake servo, there's also a BMW X5 LM with the same V12...

@@user-mf9qv6rd5f the m70 has very little resemblance with the S70 and if you look at the structure of the head it's really similar to the s50 so it's basically like to s50 s connected to one crankshaft
