pipe welder here. and I'm that sort of person who walk around and wherever I come across welds do I feel the welds just to know if the guy who made the things knew what he were doing and I can honestly say that a lot of stuff that is actually being used looks worse than your weld on that exhaust. I personally would suggest going down in amps because of how thin that matereal is. a rule of thumb is 25-30 amp per millimeter of wall thickness. the tricky part comes when you have two pieces of vastly different thickness. in that case did you do the right thing by starting at the flange and moving up to the pipe. you can also run 2T (wich means that you will have to hold the button pressed throughout the weld) and have a bit of slope down on the machine. some slope down means that you can release the button, have the amps go down over time and then hit the button again to bring the amps back up. it is a way of controlling heat wich can be really usefull in challenging welds. I would peronally rate that weld a 4/10, but when adding the handicap of being a complete newbie when it comes to welding will that bump up the score to an 8/10

You guys have so many shifter Karts and go karts I would love to be in the same place as you guys in a few years from now. Also this video gives me old cars and cameras vibes I love it ♥. Keep it up

I bought this same engine for my snow blower and it works really good. I dealt with some small issues finding the right belt size but once I got that dialed in it’s strong as a bull!

just to recap; diesel generator, mounted on a 'put-it-together' go-kart is awsome! and that's cutting it short still haha that thing is a monster!

Man, that thing is surprisingly rowdy, can't wait to see it tuned and turbo'd!

Hey @CarandCameras. Just stumbled upon your channel. (Probably because I have wanted a go kart my entire life and often mention it). Like it’s definitely a bucket list item. It may be too late for me to tho? I went through a heartbreaking breakup where my ex is trying to keep our kids from me. You see, I worked too much she got bored and cheated and cheated and… you know cheated. Wow SMH. Anyway I got set back. The whole thing has nearly destroyed me mentally. But I don’t want to feel physically paralyzed today. This is where I want to thank you guys for putting together a great show. It was a needed distraction for me. I even feel more motivated. I might do something productive today. SMH…. That’s Wild.. just a few guys having fun building go karts but the unknown impact elsewhere is saving life’s. Again thank you guys! Best Regards Jesse Vance.

Well done. Amazing colour work. The slowmou uncle was faster on the bigger diesel engine because his weight counterbalanced and grounded the wheels. A suggestion - Must attach the original muffler to the extended tube. 😎✨

Both of you was extremely excited, we were too! Look, different gearing for a faster top speed and a small turbo addition, it'll spin up faster with a little power braking at start to build boost, then let it rip on a hot lap....

The diesel is really showing torque in this video. It has lots of get up and go but cuts out pretty quick. Cool video!

"Everybody Judge me. First weld on a tube." I'm not even remotely close to an expert with TIG welding, I can make metals stick together with mine and am self taught. John, your first tube weld looks better than my CURRENT tube welds, and I've been going at it for a couple years now lol. Good job sir. Also, this kart is AWESOME! Thanks for the long video once in a while, I know this takes a massive amount of time to capture and edit, but I really appreciate them!!
