Welcome to the ultimate go kart race! The Backyard 500 is our yearly collaboration here at the CarsandCameras Motorplex. This year we have Red Beard's Garage, Junkyard Digs, Build Break Repeat, Rather B Welding, Tyranis Customs, and Vasily Builds. For this 10 lap endurance race, I'm driving our 4WD Bronco Power Wheels go kart, powered by a stout 24 horsepower 228cc Tillotson racing engine. I'm up against the Grave Ninja 650, modified big block Yerf Dogs, and more.

This captures the true essence of mixed class racing. When so many sanctioned race events have everyone driving the exact same vehicle, you loose the whole "David vs. Goliath" epic battles that only happen in mixed classes. This was awesome to watch, glad nobody was seriously hurt and it looks like all had a great time!

I have to say that the first back yard 500 went off with plenty of hitches. but the most important thing was that no body got hurt, which proves this racing series can be done safely. that little Bronco is a marvel considering how tiny it is and how much HP it has. it's amazing it's quite fast and it's size is an advantage in traffic. it can squeeze though a small hole where larger vehicles can't go. I've said it before it's Cars and Cameras best build to date. being as this was an open class race, Chris Rather Be Welding got his first well deserved victory. it appears that the front suspension rebuild has paid off it seems to be stronger than ever. and it appears that the coolant hose must have came undone at or near the end of the race. so the grave ninja will be back to race another day. it would have been nice to see Vasily with one of his killer builds but maybe next time. but he was there and had a good time, and Ike was probably itching to get out there but also maybe next time. well I have to say congratulations too everyone that showed up and had a good time. especially Chris for his first victory that was AWESOME now he's got the winning bug. there is definitely no doubt that the first Cars and Cameras backyard 500 was a complete success. and that everyone went away from this event a winner. because it gave them feedback to make the their builds faster and better well done.

it's the same way on a dirt track race...all of the guys come together to help with spare parts and time ..i owned more than a few dirt track cars and drove them myself and the sportsmanship is mindblowing...it seems that racing co0mmunity in general is like a big family...even in the monster truck scene..i'm not sure about F1 as i don't follow that series

Grind hards builds are just a league ahead and Ethan is king of sending it I think it would just be a bloodbath of c&c destruction but would be great content

Colonel senders vs. most of these builds (no hate intended) is like setting a group b rally car against a Subaru WRX. Yeah they're built to do the same thing but one is significantly more violent about it. Ethan loves to build things that are on the very edge of drivable and we all love him for it.

Needs to happen again. I like how all the KZbin channels got together to Duke it out but it was all about having fun and making it safe as possible while being an unlimited race as not every channel has something worthy to bring. Looks like a blast

small thing about ike's injury : with you guys making youre income from these videos it might be wise to turn the jenkiness on youre builds down a little (off cam maibe?) aspecialy on the newer motorcycle engine builds (basicly fix things right before testdriving them ), these vehicles run a lot faster and can hurt bad when things go wrong , nothing like the bumps and bruises with the preditor powered yardkarts but more things like broken bones and long term injuries like backproblems bruised kidneys or headinjuries hope ike becomes wiser now he knows wat can happen and the longer term consequences of his injury

Oh great, another premier video.... Serious question, what exactly is gained by using this feature? As far as I am concerned all it does is make me think "oh yay, one of my favourite channels has put out a new video" only to see "oh, great... not for another day or so". By which time it has slipped down through my subs list to a point where I might not notice it and it'll go unwatched or watched a lot later when it pops up in a recommendation. If you have the video ready, edited, and uploaded why not just make it available to watch? I really don't get what delaying it does. Meh, maybe I'll watch this if I have time (I have time right now, but hey...).
