Seeing they actually gave you a receipt, I would recommend contacting the US Embassey and filing a report. Looking forward to future adventures!

Did you pass any military checkpoints on the highway? Easy way to get past those is to carry stickers. Everyone down there loves stickers. I used to work the BFG Pits. A lot of fun, but loong hours. But nowadays, I wouldn't go to Mexico, especially in a nicer vehicle. Really surprised tgat your trailer was still there. 😆

stickers?
@johnnychun592 күн бұрын
@@lint2023 Yeah, just regular vinyl stickers, like you'd find on the side of an offroad truck. Kids will run up to your vehicle yelling, "Steeker, steeker!" And the soldiers at the military checkpoints are basically kids...with automatic weapons. Even the cops like stickers.

That was great to watch! Next time it may be worth leveraging one of your greatest assets: You have fans everywhere! My friend convinced me to go into Mexico one day in 2022 when we were visiting our other friend in Organ Pipe National Monument in AZ (its about 7 miles from the border). Luckily it went pretty well but we did get searched going into Mexico, which I always joke seems like the opposite of what should happen. My friend dropped her phone right as we approached the cameras at the border and we think that sent an alert to check us. I got super nervous because as the Mexican officer was searching the truck, I remembered I have a pocket knife in my center console and I had read not to take any weapons. Luckily, he didnt care about the knife and we had no other problems while there. We were very careful not to speed, which was funny because I was the slowest car on the road and everyone was passing me but I was going the speed limit.
