To everyone of a certain age in the UK it's the theme tune to Our Song. Our Song was a segment on the (if I recall correctly) Simon Bates show on Radio One in the 80s. Listeners would write in with the story of how they met their husband/wife, etc. and include the song that reminded them of that time. The song would then be played at the end of the story. During the telling of the story the Romeo and Juliet tune would be played in the background.

yep im the same mate, i was about 10 when i first started watching them and now im 30 with kids and cars of my own and recently watched them have their final episode, truly felt like the end of an era 🥹 really sad when you have grown up watching them, didnt realise how much they play a part in our lives as my sarcastic humour is all based off of them, i started reading books because jezzas books are really funny, i passed my exams because i became interested in jezzas tabloid columns and i have my dream job that pays nicely for me and my family, only to have to say goodbye to the boys as they are finished with top gear and the grand tour 🥹🥹 truly greatful to have had them in my lifetime from the early days of top gear, to the withering heights of amazon prime with the grand tour with some of the greatest entertainment on tv ever, literally only pay for prime because of grand tour and the misus likes next day delivery, but there will be no more new content from the three of them together anymore but we get them seperately which is good but not the same, really did feel when they shook hands and thanked eachother as they ended where they bagan by that tree 🥹🥹👑👑👑 thankyou boys im soo happy i got to see yous entertain in my lifetime
