Im going with the Santa Fe! Me as a truck owner have been looking into downsizing from a 1500 to either a mid-size truck or a slightly bigger than mid-size SUV. This would be the only SUV outside of a truck that I would think about getting. Of course it boils down to pricing for me at that point which might eliminate the Santa Fe for me unfortunately

I have the GV80 Prestige already. I was waiting for the Santa Fe but what ruled it out for me is that they didn't do an all electric version and the roof is not fully pano like the Sorento. I'll wait for the KIA EV9 and see what Genesis next all EV will be. I have not made up my mind on EV Sedan or EV SUV. Leaning towards EV SUV. Great channel. Love your content!! Big Thank you for the reviews between the two makes.... MIxed on the new Santa Fe, kinda grows on you, I like the Kia but sadly in the USA most of the dealer have become super greedy thief's over charging above MSRP by 5 to 15k.. just greedy pirates and add in many of the Kia dealer can't seem to service the new cars properly. As factoring in even with the new designs, Kia is still using the ld trans and engine which has a bad failure rate in the USA.. Kia also need to have a ordering system at the dealers so you don't order a SUV and find out they sold it to someone else at a higher price when it came in, happened to a number of people at different Kia dealers and Kia doesn't seem to care about customer feedback... Hyundai has been better about everything..

I challenge any car manufacturer to come to their senses and return to offering practical wheel/tire sizes again. 18" is *far* more practical on roads that are in poor shape (like the ones in California.)

Santafe has a more van like looks although boxy like defender it can't hide the van like look due to longer 3rd row seats . Sorento has a more sporty look. I like both but I guess preference is how much are you gonna use the 3rd row

And intelligent and ota support as standard such as self parking. We really lack options in NA. So yeah, looking for cars here and not much options. And the price, dunno what the Santa Fee will be but sometimes is like to have some of the should be standard things the price go up already to a higher level car such as the F pace jaguar that I like. Just want a bigger one or a bit less.

Same chassis and engine, same gearbox. Kia seems to have its own identity, you recognize it easily; while Hyundai seems to want to be something else. I like both, but I would choose Kia!

Both are great designs. I would like to see the production version of the XRT Santa Fe. That being said, the Sorento has been out for a couple more years giving it a likely advantage for reliability vs a 1st year all-new vehicle.

Kia just nails the exterior design so well. I got a Telluride back in 2020 the day it was available in Washington. I love that car so much, the exterior design with how boxy it is was perfect. The Sorento is also great but a bit too small for me now. I'm liking a lot about the Sante Fe except the rear end, just so goofy looking. But they do have a lot of great interior design ideas that Kia needs to adapt, like the center console storage area, the dual wireless charging, the dual glove box area, etc. Despite the rear end, I think I'd go Sante Fe over the Sorento.

Reading your comment, I did cover this with my last vid on Santa Fe, thanks. There is no spare tire for domestic models - it's been the way for quite some time now on all HMG cars - yet there is a space reserved for one underneath (seems that way, it could be the space for AWD system though).

When will designers come to the realization that shiny black plastic is cheesy. Notice how dirty it looks compared to the body color. Also, that sanitizer is a joke. The rest of the car will be full of bacteria. Unless you are allowing others to use your phone, what’s the purpose? It seems a bit germaphobic to me, and a waste of money. Also, you’ll have to remember to flip the phone (with your filthy hands) in order to sanitize both sides. In addition, the Sorento is rated very low in reliability from the latest Consumer Reports.

Hi brother I want to ask There is no much difference in the boot space of these vehicles. Seems like sorento is more longer. After third row u didn’t show the sorento so I can do the diffenciate between them.

There nearly is no difference between the legroom, but Santa Fe is a clear winner when it comes to the head room.

Their design language is all over the place. Perhaps because it isn’t their own. Santa looking like a budget Land Rover. Sorento looking like a budget Cadillac. When will they acquire their own brand identity and stick with that?

think sorento will beat again this model of santa fe.. new santa fe looks not so good as can be.. fresh sorento looks much better plus will be availab diesel eng.
