I'm having the same prob but with one thing different I turn the key to position 2 I get the F showing on the dash car won't turn over and all lights work exsept my reverse light, turn key off and on again if the reverse light comes on car starts up but will try and cut out wile driving any ideas pal

You didn't show how you got it out. Its a bugger isn't it! So awkward I'm tempted to remove the driveshaft to give more access but I don't know how much a can of worms that would be? On my attempt I removed the bolt and tried gently easing sensor out with a flat head screwdriver it just wouldn't budge.....until the bolt bracket bit snapped off so I'm left with the sensor still tight in there. My question is coz it's so tight how long will it stay in there if I'm running the car. ie engine pressure/temp I'm imagining it could pop out like a Cork in a bottle an I right?

Thanks Bro 👊 🎉have the same problem at my 1.6 opc in Germany Its also a Corsa D from 2009 with a bigger Engine 192HP - the position of the crank sensor will be the same ? I bought the original sensor from the Opel (Vauxhall) Dealer and payed 112€ 😢Hope i can fix it

Hi the sensor from Vauxhall cost £78, to fit it should be another 30min labour ... where are you ?

Hi Mate, The question is where is the sensor located at engine block or the gearbox case ? Whilst removing the sensor from my corsa D 1.2 it just snapped in half then trying to pry it out it fell inside the hole can't get it out at all. I'm wondering where it has dropped which side engine or gearbox side near fly wheel. Help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Unfortunately Located Engine block side , I guess the broken sensor will be in the oil sump now

mine 1000cc 2010 3cyl is running fine but the engine light is on, and scan says Cam shaft sensor - fitted a new one (but I didnt test it) and after reset the engine light goes out but comes on again (same fault)

2007 d having can chain changed and crank sensor. Already had a replacement crank sensor 6 years ago, came to remove it, the bolt was loose and the sensor was not fully home so had been leaking oil for a long time (owner had to top up regularly). Had to use screwdrivers to lever sensor out because it was very tight, New sensor won't even go down the hole, I would have to tap it in or sand it down a bit. Are there two different types of sensor for these engines?

I don’t think there is... it quite normal to have difficulties to remove the old sensor as they swell up just clean the hole just in case there is any gunk or debris, lubricate the new sensor seal and push in sometimes it takes a little bit of force to get pass the o ring 👍👍👍👍

I ended up gently sanding the new sensor until it passed though the hole properly

Afternoon, very helpful video! I own a Vauxhall Corsa SXI 2010 1.2 petrol. The start up of the engine seems to be struggling then when eventually starts up the idle revs sits abit too low around 400rpm and feels as if it’s going to stall but doesn’t. Any ideas where to begin? Thanks

You have a tab to push in than pull the connector , easier to keep the sensor in place before removing the plug

Let’s start from the basics, when was the last time you have changed your diesel filter? Would be a good idea to hook up a pressure gauge at rail to know what sort of pressure there is when the car stalls, and perhaps do an injector leak back test ...

It could be but it would most likely trigger a code for it, needs testing ... if you have a code for lower pressure in the rail i would test everything around first....

eduardo estrella remove the e10 bolt than pull the sensor out , sometimes it can be a bit stuck so try to twist and pull action eventually it should come out

Spanner light wont go off till engine started and it stays on with ignition anyways
