I would of given the STI 10 out of 10!! It ticks every box;, fun, fast, good looking, practical, full of kit, sounds great, grippy, seats 5 people, big boot what else do you need???

I have a WRX but only owned it for almost 2 months. we'll see a few years from now where I stand with it unless I just get an STI. as for the STI, I hear its not that much different than the WRX just terrible gas mileage and very unreliable engine.

I thought the STI is much harder than the standard WRX that he disliked? How come he preferred this over the regular WRX? Not quite sure what is going on.

David X STI is more fun. I owned 2 STI and now have a WRX. New wrx is a beast but sti is like driving a angry train

As I said in the video, you'd think it was harder than the standard but it isn't. The difference is in the springs and dampers - the WRX just has OEM supplier dampers and springs whereas the specialist suspension gear in the STi is just better. Weird, but there you are.

I agree, the gas mileage isn't great, my best average was 35mpg , but normally I average around 26mpg. The STI engine is reliable, but it does have weak spots e.g piston rings and head gasket. However that said, good regular maintenance, good fuel and care and there is no reason why it won't last. Even the new WRX DIT engine has weakness e.g rod design, check out MRT performance on the new DIT engine on KZbin.

EJ25 is the worst engine they made, EJ257 is even worst. EJ20 is renowned for being their best, which is why STI's have been having a terrible name these past few years. WRX doing it right for once

Hi Dean, While we are open to other people's opinions on our videos, the vehicle is in fact a WRX STI spec.R. Apart from the title, you may find the upgraded Recaro sports seats to be one giveaway.
