Not sure where you live but at least in the U.S. are the last cars to fit that category. I have had 2 with zero problems including one that I bought with extremely high mileage and drove across the U.S. Everyone that I know of who has bought a brand new Toyota (or Lexus) or a low mileage pre-owned Toyota (or Lexus), are extremely happy and have had very few if any issues.

I am Toyota fan; I am about to buy Toyota Highlander grand and I found out they charge monthly and/or annually for remote start that I cannot believe. Toyota record my every move with vehicle because I have to have their app.

Oh well. Get used to it. Manufacturers hinted at this 3-4 years back. Toyota is not the only ones doing it. I think one of the German luxury manufacturers (BMW or Mercedes, maybe both) charge a subscription for heated seats and the like. It's stupid to me. Nothing more than a money grab to put more on consumers.
