I own a LC and the AC works well. The noises you hear are normal. The LC looks better than the GX in my opinion

Agreed. The LC with the Premium Pkg looks much better than a GX. And it has a great powertrain.

Same here. Either he had a dud or didn't test it properly.

Great commentary! Thanks. My concerns/dislikes, other than price and mpg: small gas tank diminishes range; angles of approach, break over and departure; plastic bumpers; ground clearance. And now that you mentioned it a/c performance. I’ll stick with my 2020 JGC Trailhawk 3.6 lit V6, especially as I have fully protected it with 6Monkeys underbody armor, as well as front and rear steel bumpers.

Having my LC Premium for several months and 7500 miles, I'm averaging 20-22+ mpgs on mixed driving. Also I'm in South Louisiana and my AC works great. I'm thinking it was just something in how you had it set. Overall great review.

Is there a way to turn the system "Off" like the button says? I was unable to defeat the system entirely despite there being a button that says "Off" on the HVAC controls.
@paulf9653Ай бұрын
@@CarsMadeSimple I've never needed to turn the whole system off so I'm not sure. I do keep the rear off unless someone is back there. It cools down quickly for me. I just leave it in auto set around 69-72.

Battery in back takes up too much space and the load floor seems way too cheap plastic (worry it will be cracked/broken easily) Headrests are a migraine headache inducing situation. Wife won't even think about buying one due to the headrests (can't have a headache every time you drive somewhere) 3rd row would be nice option Other than those 3 things it feels like a pretty good vehicle. Seems like it has a nice potential for customization that can make is useful for many buyers. *DON"T AGREE WITH YOUR SEAT COMFORT (no mention of the headrests feels like a miss). BTW: 2 votes on our house for the round headlights

I actually didn't have an issue with the headrests at least in the front seats. Usually I am the one to first pick up on the headrest issues given my spinal fusion but I actually didn't run into any comfort issues in the front seats. I think I had it up one or two clicks from the bottom. The rear load floor is a downside but it's still large which helps.

Wow. It would be a joy to try and sell you and your wonderful wife anything. Buy your wife a minivan.t. The Land Cruiser is not for a nagging woman with migraines.

Liner to see you review a2025 4 Dinner.. Like to hear you're thoughts . Compare it you a Large 6 Cruiser

The only thing I agree with is the mileage. AC works great, no noise other than wind from the large side mirrors, and seating comfort is solid. Engine has been impressive and I figured the mileage wouldn't be on par with the Tacoma considering the weight differential between the two models. It's been a solid purchase in my humble opinion.

Good review of Likes and Dislikes 👍 Also a nice demonstration of the power on board usage and the fog lights 👍👍

I own one and getting just under 20 MPG so that is very accurate. Also of note max range I’m getting is 300 miles. That falls well below what was advertised.

I'm waiting for 2025 LC in Oregon, and I'm CURIOUS if the computer screen can be completely turned-off to black screen?
@georgetown8986Ай бұрын
Yes it can.
@rodnewman5133Ай бұрын
The AC works great. You probably didn't have it turned on in the back and set to auto. I did the same thing the first day I had mine. Thought the same thing as you until i figured it out. Also, some of my vents were closed which also hampers the system significantly when trying to cool down a hot car.
@CarsMadeSimpleАй бұрын
Nope it was all set correctly. Having the rear on helped but I had to keep the temperature lower than I normally do (around 71°) to feel comfortable.
@michaelgarvin8621Ай бұрын
P.S. Yes I would be concerned about the noises and something to think about and pause.

What was up with the guy using the saw? Distracting and hard to understand why as it was distracting and made it hard to hear the video.

I was demonstrating the onboard power. That clip was 7 seconds long so it shouldn't distract from the overall video.

It’s not 50K+ nice though. Test drove one and it’s average as best. The undercarriage is and mud flaps are a quality indicator. Oh and a pop up window? Smaller trunk space? Ill keep my 4runner thanks. No amount of tech gimmicks is going to distract me away from seeing the little details. Theres absolutely no value anywhere besides the technology provided and thinner quality. Time always tells.
@georgetown8986Ай бұрын
You're in luck....it's not $50k. It's $75k nicely equipped with the Premium Pkg.

My AC is frigid set at 70f, temps around here have been >100f. Combined mpg is 21. You might have a bad unit. That is my data point. It looks to me the GX is roughly 10-15k more in general.

Have you actually gone to the Lexus website and built one? They are nowhere near that far apart unless you check every single box possible on the Lexus.

@@CarsMadeSimpleif you compare apples to apples , the Land Cruiser a bit cheaper, if you want to offroad you’ll be looking at the overtrail, but with that you don’t get a lot of the features you have in the one you test drove. Like real leather, memory seats, digital rear view mirror, to get all those you have to get the overtrail plus which is a lot more money than that premium package you drove, you def get more in the plus but lots more money
