Carted Wet Commercial Garbage at Night in NYC: Classic Recycling EZ-Pack Goliath Rear Loader

This Peterbilt 520 EZ-Pack goliath is a departure from the usual mcneilus rear loaders that do nighttime commercial in New York City, and I think this truck handled it well. The goliath has a massive hopper, packs quite a punch, and there wasn't nearly as much garbage being pushed out of the hopper as I had expected. Although it probably wouldn't do as well on cardboard, I am surprised these aren't more popular among private carters.
Although this isn't my best camera work, I am glad I was able to catch this unique truck in midtown, before the new commercial carting zones push classic recycling out.

Awesome video. If the carting zones ever happen it won’t do much given that about 4 subcontracting companies have zones. So they will just hire numerous small contractors.

Great video! Super cool that you found them and were able to follow them. Great to see the Goliaths getting more attention over there. The carting zones don’t start until October and it’s only one zone in Queen as a pilot.
