Keep updating us man, my 1945 is beat so I’m looking at different options too, Weber mostly since I don’t have a BBD laying around. Good work so far.

I'm just waiting on money for a windshield and to mount / balance the rear tires so I can get this truck inspected and drive it. VA has some funky laws but I don't want a $500 ticket + a $50 or so ticket. $500 for no inspection and $50 for a broken windshield. I think I'm gonna be getting the windshield done Friday, if that's the case I'll have the truck inspected Saturday or Monday morning and be driving it. You could pick up a Weber clone and this adapter for $200 or so on Amazon, not sure how good the clones are tho. Links here: Carb: www.amazon.com/Team-Performance-WEBER-CARBURETOR-Compatible/dp/B07FYRQ8VL/ Adapter: www.amazon.com/Trans-Dapt-2025-Carburetor-Adapter/dp/B000N8GTL8 The adapter opens up a wide range of 2bbl carb options, and I can confirm a BBD air cleaner from a '83 with a 318 does fit. I was lucky to have a parts truck that I don't plan on leaving 2 barrel.

@@DeadReckon I appreciate the links bud, good luck with the inspection, I’ve been having a hell of a time with Maryland passing me. They keep making it harder and harder to keep our old rigs on the road.

@@MiloslavRyndenkov Yeah, I'm just glad VA doesn't do emissions. As long as something that looks like a cat converter is there, they're good with it.

I'm waiting on my lokar kit for kickdown and throttle.. is there any issue block the carb vaccume hole located on the intake ?
@DeadReckon Жыл бұрын
The carburetor doesn't seem to get in the way of any vacuum ports on the intake. My truck is a manual transmisison so I don't need to worry about a kickdown cable. The truck runs great with this carburetor, by the way.
