Carters Steam Fair At Chalkwell Park, Southend On Sea, April 3rd 6th 2015, Part 2

Here is the 2nd part of my look at Carters Steam fair, when it came to Southend On Sea.
In this film we see Carters, as day drifts into night, and the whole funfair comes alive, with the sights, and sounds that you only get with type of attraction. We see the Steam Gallopers, the sideshows, the only working pair of Steam Yaughts in the world, and of course, the famous Wall Of Death, with its daring riders, and feats of danger. So sit back, and enjoy all the fun of the fair.

'All the fun of the fair' , A good time was had by all. You captured the atmosphere brilliantly Richard and they put on a good show. The ice cream van looked identical to the one made by (I think) Oxford Diecast, also we had the added bonus of steam power for all of us rail buffs. Thanks for sharing. .....Graham

Hi Graham, yes the model of the ice cream van, is of Carters van ! If you look at my other films, you will see my layout , LITTLE HENHAM, has a Traction Engine Rally in the process of being made. Thanks Alan, yes Carters were really good and let me film over 2 days. I asked permission, and they were great. The atmosphere was brilliant. Hope i captured some nice shots. The Wall Of Death was awesome, and those Steam Yaughts go higher than you think !!!! Tip : If you go on them, sit right at the back.....if your brave enough....!!!! Cheers , Richard.
