Even if you aren’t a fan of the genre itself, there’s no denying that bluegrass musicians are some of the most disciplined and talented musicians.
@austenrobinson2747

That’s because unlike electric you have no where to hide mistakes. If you miss notes on the runs everyone knows it. Bluegrass pickers are some of the best technically gifted players especially if your a guy like Billy. He’s worked his ass off to get this clean. Thousands of hours with a guitar in his hands. Great flatpicker.

Every time I get on KZbin and see one of his videos I say to myself ok I will watch just this one and then get on with what im on here for. Then twenty of Billy's videos later I cant remember what the hell it was that I got on KZbin for.

I gave up on music and new talent about 10 years ago. then I came accross this kid at a party on a couch playing Dust in a baggy. Since that time, his videos have introduced me to Michael Cleveland, Molly Tuttle, I'm with her, and some others. Folks let me be the first to tell you- there is still talent in music today and it's all in this genre. Billy Strings and Michael Cleveland are probably the two greatest talents in music today. Thanks Billy for renewing my faith in music again.

I never herd of Michael untill I read your comment. I listened to the mountaineer by him. Fuck me that got my foot stomping as soon as I herd it. Thanks so much for that !!!

All the good music will never be heard on the radio... unfortunately, you have to dig a little to unearth talent! What a fun treasure to find though!

Before listening to this video, I was like "hey, that's sacred Doc Watson music: thanks for your hommage but please do not pretend your version is comparable to Doc's one". Than that young blond Billy Strings came on the stage, blew my mind and kicked my ass. I'm soooo impressed!!

Yeah I think he did too. I also think he might have gotten the best of the Devil on this trade! Reason I say this is cause, if there's a God, and I'm pretty sure there is, he's bound to like bluegrass! So in the end, Billy 'll get the to the pearly gates and hopefully some of these talentless, Nashville hacks who've made millions defiling country music, will have to face the fire, brimstone, and 24/7 Polka music and Lawrence Welk for eternity!
