@@edugamer950 well i build engines ( M3 ) ; and i would not say those cams are ok ; far from it too ; id encourage my customer to change them asap. especially if hes going to thrash it after. and the high milage hence 10w40 is BS. its a high reving engine; its should have high resistance to temp oil in it not standard shit you'd put in a twingo. rebuild the fucking thing or dont touch it !

This project is dead. Honda Specialist UK has been exposed for reselling dodgy Chinese parts, rebranded. I would dare say that Car Throttle has likely stepped away from the project and is either not going to go ahead, or is looking for a reputable shop.

This episode taught me that VTEC isn't a spring on a stick but a fairy gnome in the valve cover that you have to tickle to 6k rpm and it huffs and puffs a load of air in the cylinders.

They would have to custom fabricate LITERALLY the entire drivetrain, for example Rob Dahm's AWD RX-7 project was started years ago and he still hasn't finished it. Also, the whole point of the car when they bought it was the AWS, making it RWD would cancel that.

SMH.... doesn't change the fact that a K20/24 is to tall for the space. And will burn cylinder walls from lack of oiling being at a higher angle then it was in the s2k

ghostofhobs dry sump rig would shave inches off the height so the angle can be lower, even just a cut and baffled sump with a modified pick up tube could probably take a bit of height off. I doubt extra angle will mess it up too much, pretty sure the pistons on these have holes all around them to oil/cool the cylinder walls, of lean angles were a huge problem boxer engines would all be fucked.

Maybe a lot has changed in the last 5 years for all I know but I had 3 3rd gen Preludes and from what I can remember is there are 5 engines that fit this bay without heavy modifications plus dry sump won't change the bottom of the K series enough for ground clearance but then what do I know

Thats is a high reving engine and needs a low density oil, the official oil is the castrol proffesional H 5w30 acea A5/B5. You cant go and put a fucking semi syntetic 10w40 just because is high mile without see how is the engine or if consume oil
