Personally, I like the TMNT show they had. It's easily the best one that's been made, perfectly blending comedic humor and serious drama. I guess it also helps that it was an american show and not an anime dub, so there was nothing they needed to edit.

Yeah the continuity in Sigma Six was all over the place one minute it's a sequel then's it's not after some dubbing changes in the DVD release vs what aired on TV. Didn't mind Extreme that much, however it wasted a huge amount of potential taking place at the same time as Transformers Season 3 with zero references to them or Old Snake aka Cobra Commander or the Synthoids. I repeat it's a Joe series where Cobra Commander is known to still be active committing acts of terrorism and he is not referenced once.

Yeah this show is aimed at kids and pre-teens to lure them into buying toys. But the SIGMA 6 toy line by Hasbro is incredible! 8 to 9 inches of sturdy durable plastic, lots of articulation, lots of gear and weapons, some figs have real fabric for clothes. I have almost all of them, including the ninja cycles.

Why does EVERY anime detractor go to the complaint that dialogue scenes utilize people standing still with only the mouths being animated? American cartoons and European cartoons do the exact same thing.

Moral of the story: Never hire two companies with rather notorious reputations to produce your show and cash in on the exploitation of another country's media Nor is it a good idea to slap on the name of a long standing franchise with an established fanbase worldwide

I like this version of gi.joe including the original 80s cartoon but i can see some of the points about the show itself and let me just say: maybe during the writing process of the script someone forgot about the 2 cgi movies and how gi.joe is already an established group, this is just my opinion about the shows different episode plots but maybe someone forgot about the scripted peices that introduced the power stones and what they are, to the talking points about why they show each character being chosen for certain missions i believe they do that based around each joes different skill set for that specific mission, now my opinion on the characters themselves well i have no room to comment i still need to watch the show but yes tunnel rat is stupid but everyone else i think is fine, now about the over used same animation i think that was done because the studio probably didnt have a big enough budget, i think the show itself didnt last long because not enough toys were being sold and the other characters dient get action figures as well,now for my final words which should be taking seriously i like the sigma 6 toys there cool especially because of there modular weapons ability and because if you missed out on them youll be regret it! for the rest of your days.

Pros: Firefly as Cobra Spy within the Joes. Overkills Design. Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow (Duh) Cobra Commander being a badass. Cons: Everything Else.

I tried watching this, but it's a typical 4Kids dub. Terrible actors CONSTANTLY talking in absolutely inane dialogue. I just want to scream at the screen for them to shut up for a moment. I wish the Japanese had done a dub so that I could hear what the original scripting was.

If you ask me even the original G.I.Joe felt kind of anime but that's because cartoons dominated most the major networks even in the 90's and always had a abstract or very unrealistic art style to them.

4kids exceptions seem to be shaman king, Kirby and F zero and apparently Winx Club. Also they had some stand out openings from what I've heard that even rival their Japanese counter parts.

Well to get a better understand of GI Joe Sigma 6 you probably had to watched the two movies G.I. Spy Troops & Valor vs. Venom that was a continuation to the series and explained Cobra Commander escaping and other reference.

Here is a little fact about Sigma 6. When it aired on the Hub back then, they showed the edit version of show, where any reference to the name, G.I. Joe, was edited out and slapped the Sigma 6 name all over it. My only conclusion is the fact that they use First Strike (the first 5 episodes turned into one big movie) as an excuse by 4Kids to convince the audience that the Joes from Sigma 6 are not the same Joes from SpyTroops and Valor vs. Venom. I say it is nothing but an excuse to remove the G.I. Joe name altogether. In a sense, like with the anime they edit, they somehow edited Sigma 6 to remove the fact that G.I. Joe is, in fact, a Real American Hero, emphasis on "American." That's all I know.

it's definitely nostalgia goggles but I loved this show, the action figures were awesome to me too! I remember for one of my birthdays I got this cool double pack that had Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow together with a DVD of the episode that they first fight in. (I had Spirit, Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, and the Yellow Kamakura) Also loved the theme song. But like I said, I was 6 to 8 years old when it was airing so🤷‍♂️

Their Shaman King dub was kinda-good-okay. (It still had problems.)Plus, DIC, Nelvana, Saban, and few other companies made some dubs the same way 4Kids did; and plenty of them turned out just as bad if not worse.

I had completely forgotten about this show. I don't hate the idea of G.I. Joe in an anime style, and some of the redesigns look nice,, but you don't want to give it to a company like 4Kids to handle. The voice acting and dialogue are cringeworthy, as is expected for the company's output. And from what you pointed out, the plot is all over the place, suggesting the writers were not working well together (or not working at all) Only ONE episode on a DVD? Now that is just stupid greedy.
