Correct. GameMill Entertainment could have been better off with Ed, Edd n Eddy instead of Uncle Grandpa. Ed, Edd n Eddy might possibly be playable in Cartoon Network: Battle Crashers. Regular Show Clarence The Amazing World of Gumball Adventure Time Steven Universe Ed, Edd n Eddy

@CartoonPhreak they were only focusing on the shows that were airing new episodes at that time, but it would be cool if they did do at least 1 show from the 90/2000s

Battle Crashers is terrible. It makes me appreciate the Nicktoons Unite games even more. The game feels like a mobile game more so than a console game and it’s embarrassing that Cartoon Network did this to their flagship shows from 2010-2014

And I thought 2010s cartoons were bad enough to make a game out of it. And for this, I rather just go back watching 2000s cartoons like Ed Edd n Eddy, Batman the brave and the bold, Camp Lazlo, Teen Titans, The Secret Saturdays and the rest. Because this i already knew it was worst. Because I stopped watching Cartoons back in 2009 when everything was coming to an end for Cartoon network and this is why I never liked the new cartoon network shows even now.

The idea of actually mimicking the cartoon 2D artstyle in a video game can actually work, like how it worked for My Friend Peppa Pig (though for the memes) and even South Park, Rocky and Bullwinkle (Xbox 360 by Zen Studios) tried this out and it was panned for frustrating minigames and how it tried to get a 2D cartoon into game form. Battle Crashers tries however but it ends up botching it via its mediocre animation, no voice acting, and the idea of mashing 3D stages with 2D character sprites which makes the games' tone jump around over the place. Also, it butchers the characters via making Steven use the bubble as a weapon when reality it was a defensive spell. This was the start of the GameMill/Outright era of licensed games, and there are still mediocre licensed games like Fast & Furious Crossroads (didn't help that this one was based on a movie franchise). After Activision bowed with that terrible Ghostbusters 2016 game which was so bad it caused its dev, FireForge, to file for bankruptcy, GameMill and Outright Games arrived and now licensed games like this are a trend again.

the fact they messed up one of the easiest geners to make- beatemups AND THEY HAD THE BALLS TO MAKE A BEATEMUP THAT MADE YOU BACKTRACK

And I thought 2010s cartoons were bad enough. I meant this trash game happened it means they had terrible Cartoon network shows a few years ago, right? I heard about them but I never had time to watch any of them. because I stopped watching Cartoon network back in 2009 when everything was coming to an end like major changes around that time. And thankfully I missed out all of these new shows just because it didn't feel the same. I rather just stick to 2000s cartoons to relive my childhood memories.

I kinda wish there were sequels that were better than the first, like Nickelodeon Kart Racers. The first game was rather mediocre and was a failure and then GameMill did sequels to it and they were much better, they could’ve done that with Cartoon Network: Battle Crashers. As a matter of fact, I actually have a list of ideas for the sequels if they happened. Cartoon Network: Battle Crashers 2 - Would’ve released two years after in 2018 - Have a new storyline - Introduce button combos to the attacks - Replace Regular Show, Uncle Grandpa and Clarence with 2016 Powerpuff Girls, We Bare Bears and OK K.O. - Add more characters from each show (eg. Have Jake separate from Finn and add Princess Bubblegum and Marceline) - add voice acting for the first time Cartoon Network: Battle Crashers 3: The Frenemy of my Frenemy - Would’ve released in 2020 - Have a new Cinematic storyline with pre rendered 2D animated cutscenes - add the return of Uncle Grandpa, Clarence and Regular Show and add more shows that were on at the time such as Ben 10 (both classic and reboot), Infinity Train, Summer Camp Island, Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart, Craig of The Creek, Victor and Valentino, Etc. as well as including classic CN characters like Dexter, Johnny Bravo, Grim, Numbuh One, Ed, Edd n’ Eddy, etc. - This time you can now play as villains such as Ice King, Mojo Jojo, HIM, Vilgax, etc. - Have an [adult swim] DLC which includes Venture Bros and Rick and Morty

Since MultiVersus is a thing, I hope we get a Warner Bros. Kart someday. It could be a spiritual successor to CN Racing, like how MultiVersus is a spiritual successor to CN Punch Time Explosion. I really love that licensed video games have made a return. A lot of them are a lot better too. Nick Kart Racers 2, Nick Kart Racers 3, TMNT Shredder's Revenge, and Spongebob The Cosmic Shake.

i think the reason why battle crashers sucks so much is that it was published by gamemill entertainment, which were responsible with the walking dead destinies and....that game was abysmal. so thats why it failed by a lot

I just got it for 2.50 on the switch. It was on sale from 10. No way id pay full price but not too bad for 2.50 i guess. Something for when i let my baby cousins play my switch

This game is so cheap and waisted potential. For someone that like adventure Time and regular show, this was a big disappointment. Punch time explosion was a much better experience.

I guess the main reason this game is hated is because this wasn't the crossover game everyone was hoping for. And I'll be getting a Switch to play this game on. It looks so interesting. So, what's the big deal? You have to get that all shows were traditionally animated and just because they are doesn't mean they don't look great. Some new moves you get are useful. You're better off playing this game on 3DS or Switch rather than PS4 or Xbox One.

(I don't usually respond too, alot of comments, but I'm gonna clarify some stuff a bit more) The big deal with this game is that it's a boring slog. The combat is some of the most boring and uninteresting beat-em up gameplay i've ever experienced (not too mention, extremely repetitive with how much backtracking you do). Here's the thing, While i don't think the game represents the shows in a very good way (i'm talking about how they featured the shows characters, not who's in it and who's not in it, because honestly i think the shows they chose for this game were good picks and i think going for a 2D artstyle for the game was a great idea, it's just how they represented them in the actual game was soo underwelming) If the gameplay was at least fun, i could look past the underwelming representation of the shows featured and gladly reccomend it too other people as just a fun little beat-em up, but because of how boring the combat is, how repetitive the levels can get with the backtracking, how the game just leaves me with very little redeeming qualities, i cannot see myself reccomending this too anyone even for hardcore cartoon network fans, animation fans or even just video game players. If you still wanna pick it up, go for it. Maybe you'll see something i didn't see and it's perfectly fine if you liked it, no worries at all. But to me, at least, it's a terrible game, and there are way better cartoon network games and beat-em ups out there that i would recommend too other people way over this game. (Sorry for the long reply, i just wanted too clarify some stuff about why i don't like this game, but please, if you really wanna play it, i won't stop you, no worries!! XD)

@@CrystalOmega I totally understand what you think. As I mentioned, it's better on small screen (the 3DS or the Switch in handheld form) than when you played it on Xbox One and for anyone that played it on that console as well as the PS4 or the Switch in home console form.
