Wait a minute. In Nevada a person has to reside in the state for a minimum of six weeks in order to get a divorce. Considering Eda skipped town as soon as she stole Stan's car and I doubt Stan stuck around Las Vegas long after, that means that neither met the requirements nor initiated the process of getting a divorce. Which means, technically, Stanley Pines and Eda Clawthorne are still legally married.

@@RavenStarMedia Oh, you're right. That must've been an awkward conversation. But it's also likely this could've taken place before Ford was sucked into the portal and Stanley was roaming the country using false identities. So Eda could've gotten married to any one of Stan's pseudonyms.

Even though Stan and Eda were on opposite sides of the country (Gravity Falls being in Oregon and the Earth parts of the Owl House taking place in Connetticut), I love this theory. Headcanon accepted!

Actually, there is another mention of Stan's ex-wife: Roadside Attraction. Near the end he said he was divorced once, and the end card said "Marilyn divorced him after only 6 hours" which fits with the commentary saying less than a day, but not with the Journal saying 48 hours. She also has a different surname on the Book of Bill website. And unfortunately, I have found holes for it timeline wise... While we know GF is set in 2012, I don't think we ever got a solid year for TOH. Really Small Problems having a fidget spinner as an 'outdated reference' would imply after 2017, and originally, I assumed 2019 as that July is when the first episode was completed. But then we've the calendar at the end of Reaching Out with a Monday August 22nd which would mean 2016 or 2022. Also quick rant on the '3 months' for Luz's summer camp: again, we've no date for the first episode (unlike GF's perfect June 1st- August 31st) but I saw Separate Tides as being 2 months since that, but a few eps later, Vee was already back. So, camp ended before August? Did Luz set off in May? And the following episode mentioning a Scabruary 40th makes things even more confusing. And while surely the span of Thanks to Them opens in September, and ends at Halloween, Amity weirdly called the stay 'months'. Why I think her dad's passing was on August 22nd is that's the release date for Agony of a Witch - the episode that really started breaking Luz for S2, and also fits with her seeing the loss of her dad within Eda's curse. the timeskip epilogue having August 21st may be both that and a reverse of Dana's birthday of 12-8. Back to the marriage, what really kinda drags it down is the curse aking her look older than she really is. If the show were in 2019, it'd put her teen years with the curse and portal in the late 80s, and born in the early 70s, so the decade Stan toured the country before 1982 doesn't really fit. But one more thing is Eda getting to Vegas. Even disregarding the Stan stuff, Dana said Eda had been there. I once thought of there being an identical suitcase portal on the Earth side in the cabin that Eda could use for a getaway like Stan described, but upon Thanks to Them, the way Luz and Gus move the front door seems to imply that doorway itself is the portal when the Isles side is active, and is therefore locked into Gravesfield Connecticut. So did Eda fly her staff to Vegas? Remember that the Boiling Isles tian is merely the size of Vermont - the 6th smallest state.

Nice deduction. My best guess is maybe her mug could have been ten or so years out of date, since maybe people's hair turns grey later on in life for people in the boiling isles? That way it would still make sense for her hair to be prematurely grey from the curse. Just speculating because I want this theory to be true lol.
