Of all the things I have complained about, joining the Army as an active duty soldier is not one of them. No doubt I did enough complaining when I was in though. Joining the National Guard? Can't say I was enamored of the weekend warrior "strac butts" I encountered after 3 years of active duty....I was kind of hoping to enjoy some beer and hibachi cooking during maneuvers, and a more "laid back" atmosphere. I think some of my fellow soldiers in the Guard really missed out not joining the Green Berets on active duty.😂

@@thegalacticfederation4007 I really shouldn't bad-mouth my "brothers-in-arms", but the Guard Unit I went into had a MAJOR "Audie Murphy complex" returning from the FIRST Gulf War, and I got some heat from them because I wasn't a "combat vet"....If you know anything about THAT "war", any vet from IRAQ and/or AFGHANISTAN just a few years later would be eligible to tell ALL of us back then not only "Hold my beer", but even: "Shut the fuck up!" Spoiler alert: Iraqi soldiers surrendered EN MASS back in 1990/1991.
