In regards to the way white diamond might act, I'd imagine she focuses in logic. Pink acted as the heart, being the people's champion. Yellow acts as the right hand of aggression, Blue acts as the left hand of peace, and white diamond acts as the brain, leading the entirety of the society.

HOLD ON, HOLD ON, I JUST MADE A SU THEORY I THINK NO ONE'S EVER CAME UP WITH BEFORE: We've been discussing about Pearl's owner for ages now. I didn't believe she belonged to a diamond until I realized that so far we've seen two unfused pearls, which both belonged to a diamond. They had this sort of bikini cut on the bottom of their swimming suit-like outfits. One thing that always bothered me about Sardonyx, Rainbow Quartz and Alexandrite was how all of them had the same bikini cut in some way, but none of the crystal gems did in their current outfits! Who did they get it from? I say Pearl. We know by seeing the gems' regenerations that they always show their previous appearances, so they are still a part of them in a way. Since shapeshifting is also a thing, I find it more than likely that all those fusions I mentioned got the bikini cut from Pearl's first form in homeworld. Now, what makes me sure Pearls that don't serve a diamond can't have a similiar outfit? Technically they all could be similiar to eachothers, but since they're made in their first owner's image they have to look like them. It'd be odd for the aristocrat gems to deserve exact copies of the diamonds' pearls! Peri didn't seem to be bothered by Pearl's form either, so she must've seen diversity among pearls. Rhodonite also doesnt have the bikini cut! It could be just that the lower part of her outfit came from the Ruby thought... If pearl belonged to a diamond, it'd most likely be WD or PD. She did have a pink diamond symbol on her astronaut outfit... She wasn't fighting with Rose at the early rebellion but joined later on, so her diamond could have been switched at some point. Idk, lemme know if you have any extra evidence. I want to hear everyone's opinion on this. Feel free to copy this theory, I want the knowledge to be spread!

I totally agree with you and I can't help but think that there are to tipes of pearls regulars, and fancy. The regulars are often given to those who earn them (like eyeball) and the fancy are perhaps for gems of the court and diamonds, so holly would recognize Pearl as fancy but brush it of because sapphire is and aristocrat, and very rare and not only that she might not have recognized her as the, terrifying renegade, if she was made in the same area as peridot, just like some of the rubies didn't know who pink diamond was 😺 well sorry for that terrible explanation lol have a nice day

after a while (and after the initial shock of the trial) I think that the reason white wasn't at the trial was because she doesn't know or wasn't told what happened to pink. and since she is busy with so many planets and such, she didn't hear anything about pink's demise.

I mean... wouldn't it be a bad idea to have no Leaders at their post for any length of time? Especially in a society where Gems have rebelled before, White Diamond probably only comes down from her Control Room (or whatever) when the situation is very very dire, and that she does not think Blue or Yellow can handled the situation. For example, White Diamonds light is suspected to be part of the corruption attack which occurred at the end of the war, so in theory you can infer White Diamond initiated this plan

I'm starting to see the five stages of grieving going on here. yellow diamond is anger, blue diamond is depression, STEVEN and the crystal gems (maybe) are bargaining at this point, but white diamond... white diamond I think might be the first stage of grieving, denial. This would explain her absence in the trail, because if she was in denial, why would she show up to a trial against the shattering of pink diamond? this is just my personal theory though so it's not much! ^^;

I think White Diamond is like the Senior Manager of Homeworld and Yellow, Blue, & Pink were just one of many groups if you will. I feel there might be more "groups" out there (ie Red, Green, Purple, Orange, etc) Because White is the presence of ALL color so maybe she rules over all the factions and groups. It definitely would prolong the series once they're done with this Diamond Authority and their issues. White Diamond perhaps might be the topper to every Authority faction out there! I feel that could be an answer to the series going on for a while longer.

Yeah, I feel like if WD is the OG Diamond then time for her is drastically different. PD was probably the youngest and didn't live nearly as long as the other diamonds had before her demise, so for WD she would have only been a small blip on her timeline; she wouldn't have had the time to really get personal with her and so wouldn't have too many feelings about her death other than inconvenience probably. Having a trial for someone that, to WD, did not make much of an impact on the gem empire would seem like a waste of time when there have to be so many other important things that ought to be prioritized first, from her point of view.

Honestly I feel White Diamond doesn't really care about Pink Diamond enough to go to the trial or has gotten over the loss of Pink Diamond. Blue Diamond and Yellow Diamond are still in the process of trying to recover, but White Diamond has either not know Pink Diamond enough to get attached to her, didn't get along with Pink Diamond as much, or simply really wanted her dead which could make her a potential suspect to why she was shattered (assuming she was shattered) White Diamond for all we know is just a really chill Diamond that lacks empathy.

the way I think of it I believe that white diamond just doesn't care well maybe not don't care that won't even a sentence I believe that she was sad about it during the essential crisis but got over it quickly because she saw that no matter how long should you mourn for that it was going to change anything and that at this point she has need to keep moving forward because if she would have stayed back in the past like yellow and blue there wouldn't be no progression in her story and her being the best so in the end she just doesn't care she stopped she stopped caring so so that's what I think about what Diamond she's just a hardened veteran of War who in the end I want her to be kind of like Old Man Logan in the comics or maybe in the movie A hardened in person in the end of the day just doesn't care

Okay, nobody seems to talk about it, so this question was probably already resolved but: The Gems aren't organic, they are specifically inorganic. They grow other Gems from the ground using machines. With the exception of Rose, no Gem can create life (organic or inorganic) without some kind of premade tool. I think we can all see how the Gems are made through industrial processes, the "kindergartens". They are constantly showing human type emotions, they take on human-like appearances, they CRY. Peridot's comment that Gems are a space faring race. Our bodies adjust automatically to the gravity of whatever planetary body they're on. Not natural. Between this and all the other oddities they really don't scream "natural" to me. So, who made them? And are their makers still around? With the way Yellow Diamond says "ORGANIC life" (to Peridot in 'Message Recieved'), all that disdain, I would guess if their creators are still alive, they're not best buddies with their creators.

Possibilities 1. White Diamond is observing the trial but isn't actually in the room. Just in case "Rose Quartz" attacked the Diamonds again. 2. The shortage of resources could be so dire that she is completely focused on finding more planets with more resources. Regardless, we do see her ship. So she is on homeworld somewhere. (The big white thing you see as Steven and Lars fall out of the palanquin)

I think white diamond wasn't there because she simply didn't care. Let me explain. White diamond is a pure clear diamond, real world clear diamonds are free of any minerals that cause color. I think the other diamonds are so extreme in one emotion because of the mineral that causes the color. So by that reasoning since white diamond doesn't have any of those extra minerals there is nothing giving her emotions so all that's left is her single minded devotion to expanding the jem empire, and going to a trial doesn't help that cause. That could also explain why White diamond killed Pink. Pink diamond wanted to preserve earth and the humans on it. That posed a threat to the goal of expanding the jem empire, so Pink had to go.

I feel that the reason white diamond is not present is because well, if the diamonds are in charge then who will be in charge while the trial is going on? They don't let other gems (other then the two zirconia and the pearls) in so there would have to be someone keeping order because no one knows exactly how long the trial would be. And if blue and yellow are as strong as white when their powers as 'fused' so it would be preferred to have white diamond out of the trial to keep order then two diamonds..

tbh i'm not sure white diamond even exists, i see her more as a fusion of the three diamonds? cause you can make white when you add primary light colors (dunno if that makes sense) but then if fusion is taboo it doesn't make sense for the diamonds to fuse, or it could that fusion is normally only a diamond thing so other gems aren't allowed to fuse. What I think is that everything that we've been shown is true, but incomplete. Just like how Rose was very compassionate, but we later find out that she did shatter someone. White Diamond herself was never even mentioned in the show. We only know things about her from murals and logos. All we really know is that she's white and that she's more important than Blue and Yellow. We can also assume that she's an actual normal gem and not a god. There's most likely a reason that's much more mundane than fan theories for why she wasn't at the trial. The most likely is that she just has something better to do. She'll also not be the leader character we think she is. Rebecca Sugar always humanizes her characters so she's bound to have some flaws.

My theory is close to the god figure one. We know gems are "artificial" lifeforms, what I want to say by "artificial" is Gems don't pop-up naturally, they are made by other gems with technology (injectors in kindergartens). So how the first gem came to be ? She must be the Diamonds, but Yellow find biological lifeforms inferior, so she doesn't like : maybe because she never met biological lifeforms OR maybe she distrust them from bad experience. I think White Diamond is a biological lifeforms that create the color Diamonds and Yellow might be the first one (very logically driven), Blue the second (very emotionally driven) and Pink as a perfect balance (is the key !). Yellow maybe distrusted biological lifeforms because White Diamond find her imperfect and made her prisoner somewhere, telling all the gems the legend of the White Diamond, a god to all gems. It would make Yellow the murderer of Pink, because she is jealous of her "perfect sister" (to the eyes of White Diamond) Or White Diamond is a myth of Gem culture and is a biological lifeforms but left right after using the injectors to create the 3 Diamonds on Homeworld. With this theory Steven is some sort of bridge between Gems and biological beings, he would be the equivalent of White Diamond of his time.

White Diamond might have had Pink Pearl with her and explored her own planets that she conquered. Or maybe since Pink Diamond is the lowest of the diamonds, Pink Pearl is also the lowest of the pearls with the least power so maybe White Diamond could be somewhere trying to train Pink Pearl to be a powerful pearl like white diamond. Also maybe White Diamond is actually responsible for Pink Diamond's shattering by maybe having Pink Pearl shapeshift into Rose Quartz and maybe she took Pink Pearl and ran away so that she can run away from her problems and have Pink Pearl with her so she doesn't say anything to anyone about who killed Pink Diamond.
