I lived on Robin St. from '88-'91. It was bad but there were certain areas we would just not go. Nickersons? Fuck that. I went once with a friend to buy something and we got ripped off. Also the Darby Dixon area (Bottoms) of Inglewood back then was suicide mission as well as certain parts of Hoover street. I try to tell my kids about it but I don't think they can comprehend.

I lived that in hood for three years in the late 80's . I never banged (we moved from out of state when I was 17 and back then that was old to start gang-banging). One fo the guys I was closest to from that gang was a cat named Derick Watkins. Cool AF, always looked out for me (he lived a few houses away). I know he got killed many years ago...someone told me his brother is that guy you interviewed (Poo?) but I don't know. Derick lots of step-bros/sister so it could be.
