I JUST GOT MY 4TH CAR WASH BUSINESS! G'day viewers. Yes I just acquired my 4th self serve car wash but this time not in California like my other car washes. This one is out of state in Tucson Arizona. Ive been scouting for a little while in this area and finally a deal landed in place so I'm excited to remodel this car wash and show you guys my journey along the way.
After working for my Uncle for 2 years at he's car washes I really wanted my own and I came across this car wash. It was completely shutdown for many years so I approached the owner of the land and made a deal with him.
It took me 6 weeks to bring it back to life and open it and now the customers are starting to pour in. Not to mention I opened it during winter so I am yet. to see its full potential but here's a small taste of how its going so far!

Looks really really good, can’t wait to see how it turns out, I think it’s really unique how they have a completely separate system for the engine and tire degreaser, It seems a lot more like what the Europeans would have, as they have a completely separate Pre-spray device for wheels and bugs very similar to what you show here 1:45

When you add flojets for things such as the foam brush, you are going to need to have an additional line running to the boom for air assist (and possibly a foamer for the foam brush) if it isn't already there. Having the air just go into the flojet isn't going to give you much foam out of the gun and it will take longer.

Congrats. Looks like some value add opportunities with those low wash rates. Have you done any environmental studies at any of your car washes, or is that only if you go through a bank for finance? My banker said I would probably have to do one in Ohio. Can you share how much business the owner claimed the wash was currently generating? Just wondering how much of a bump you will get once you start fixing it up.

Congrats on the new car wash.... I hope that wasn't the owner's friends filling up the bays while you were there.... I can't wait to see the transformation. You didn't mention anything about the lease or ownership, but i understand. The other thing you didn't mention was a camera setup. You will probably want a good camera setup if you are a ways away. I would be super careful with this business since its so far away. whats another day spent here talking to business owners, printing ads, posting on facebook, and making sure this car wash shows up on google maps and apple maps?

How are you gonna get an employe that you can really trust to handle the cash? I mean, it's bills and coins with no records for the transactions, anyone can skim a part of the cash and you would never know. Curious to know how you will make sure people are not stealing from you.

Nice work! How much did this cost? I'm looking at a few in Florida, one closed down 5 bay for $300k and one closed down 4 bay on busy road for 400k - and one 4 bay that is currently operating that does decent profit for $500k. They sound pricey to me, am I wrong?

Talked to a self serve wash owner today who installed a system from dutch company Baptista about 1 year ago and he had 3 colored foam as first self serve in entire Germany. He's also adding some extra chemicals to the foam and shampoo to improve their cleaning power and too loosen up insects much better. He recently started changing the colors to violet sky blue and mint green. He also changed the shampoo up a bit and added some things which add a layer of lubrication and protection on the paintwork and also helps to keep the brushes way cleaner for much longer and helps the brush glide much better as well. He also adds a foam killer to his wax so you can literally use that high pressure wax to rinse off the foam and shampoo And save an entire step of rinsing with water. He also got no issue with you using the brush if you have foam on the car still cause there's more than enough lubrication still. He also got tire cleaner and brush covers and tire brushes at hand too. He actually hand washes the brush covers and makes sure they're completely clean before putting them in containers for people to use :) Soon the bill changer will be replaced as well as the vacuums whenever the money is at hand.

Wait until you have to recycle the water to prevent contamination and have to buy certain chemicals. The price the self service charges near my house is 5 dollars less than going to the car wash where I don’t have to do the work. Lights to make customers feel safe. That will work. Good luck. The future is here in NY for you they will regulate you to death.
