It's funny that for an extra 15,000 GBP (about $20,000 USD) you can get THE SAME performance as a Tesla 3 Performance when you buy an Audi RS5. Sure the RS5 will do better at the top end (over 130Mph) but in real life, unless you cruise the autobahn at 210km/h+ every day - not really a real-world thing. Also - with the latest Tesla software update the P3P should get better than a 11.9 - in fact Dragtimes currently shows a 0.25 mile at 11.62 seconds (under ideal conditions - fully charged etc.). And rumor has it that the P3P will get Launch Mode in 2020 which should knock down that number further. We'll see :)

I have a TTRS the mode you put it in only effects the steering and suspension, makes no difference to the acceleration at all, that’s all to do with the gearbox being in the S setting and even that doesn’t make a difference if you really plant your foot

Glen Clough I have an A4, and it absolutely does make a difference. It doesn’t accelerate as hard as in Dynamic as opposed to Comfort. When you put it in dynamic mode the gearbox automatically changes to sport mode. You can put it in comfort mode but still have the gearbox in sport mode, but on the dash it says D which tells me it’s in Comfort mode and normal gearbox. If it was Comfort + Sport Gearbox it would show S.

The Tesla Model 3 Performance is supposed to do 11.5-11.7 in the quartermile, go look at dragtimes video. Even the AWD+ with Acceleration Boost does 11.9s... The car was probably power limited due to the battery not being heated up..

There is still almost no electric version of them on the market until in the case of Audi very recently with it's E-tron, but I will pick these brands all above Tesla. I just don't like the designs of most Tesla's aside the fact that they lack character because everything is TOO minimalistic. It's like a human without eyebrows and no cheeck bones. What are you then? Correct an alien. So no. The designs, comfort, elegance of both interior and exterior of these cars mentioned alone blows all Tesla cars out of the water. And we talk about affordable cars like the Tesla 3. Also. Tesla 3ib particular and it's seating behind is horrendous. You can absolutely not sit there for a long period

I have owned an Audi RS4 and Nissan R35 GTR and loved them both. But for 95% of the time in every day driving I prefer my Model 3 P. It is quiet, stealth fast, smooth, safe, quite spacious and has the most comfortable seats and best audio I have experienced in a car. I charge it off roof top solar, it doesn't require servicing, and costs almost nothing to run. Sure, the GTR is faster over 100 mph and quicker round a track. But it's no contest when choosing a car for real world driving.
