The car company's rage on about being green then make hugely complicated and expensive front and rear en. It's madness.
@skierpage3 жыл бұрын
The catastrophe is a regular car burning through literally tons of dirty fossil fuel over its lifetime, which all goes up in smoke to increase global warming. Reduce that with a clear pathway to zero emissions in operation as the electric grid gets cleaner, and you've built a greener car. A complicated body is a minor environmental issue in comparison. Build a more recyclable car like the BMW Circular in a renewable-powered factory, and you've gone a long way to addressing it.
@Jim0233 жыл бұрын
@@skierpage global warming is bs, they wanna throw it on that. These cars where shit all made of recyled material that is f*cking shit. To much options for it, look at that car from Ford. Litteraly wtf m8 I just wanna drive not sleep. The only good car was the goddam Dacia.
@skierpage3 жыл бұрын
@@Jim023 what part of global warming is BS? The exceptionally rapid increase in Earth's temperature since the pre-1975 average is undeniable. We know what happens when you increase greenhouse gas concentrations; it's basic high school physics that's in the name. Scientists have been making better and better estimates of the Earth's sensitivity to an increase in CO2 for over 150 years. In that same time the concentration of atmospheric CO2 has increased from 280 ppm to 410 ppm, as you'd expect if you started burning billions of tons of fossil fuel. (And before you bring up water vapor, yes it's a powerful greenhouse gas and as earth warms the atmosphere will hold more water vapor, but it's not a "forcing" - we can't pump more of it globally, cuz it falls out as rain.) So the only debate is whether anything else can account for the warming we've observed, and how much future warming will occur (which depends, obviously, on whether we do anything about our greenhouse gas emissions.) . There isn't any candidate that explains the observed warming, otherwise the trillion-dollar fossil fuel industrues would be telling you about it, instead of acknowledging anthropogenic climate change while secretly funding various group that cast doubt on it. You've been duped by those groups.

@skierpage3 жыл бұрын
@@olgaflores522 solar and wind can recharge all the cars and power all human activities on Earth. If you're concerned about land use, wind and solar can coexist on the vast amount of land we use for farming. Nuclear is also low-carbon energy. I don't mind it, but according to the Lazard levelized cost of energy report it's more expensive than any other kind of generation, and new plants take 15 years we don't have time for. Maybe some variation of molten sodium liquid modular thorium small modular blah blah reactor will prove to be cheaper and safer in bulk production, but each design will take 15 billion dollars and 15 years to test whether will in fact be cheap and quick. Money well spent, meanwhile wind and solar installs will keep growing.
