We had a Casa Bonita in Tulsa too, was my Dad’s first job. Unfortunately the guy who bought the shell was a foreigner who didn’t understand its significance and turned it into a market bazaar. He actually apologized in the papers and probably realized what a gold mine he could of had renovating it lol

I've lived in Colorado for my whole life and was able to dine at casa bonita a few months ago through their email invites. What theyve done with the place is phenomenal. It simultaneously feels completely new and untouched from when I was a kid, and that's truly remarkable. Excited to watch this :)

Ok, just watched this movie on Paramount+, holy cow! This is the mother of all renovation shows. While Trey was buying mucha lucha souvenirs on his trip to Acapulco, the renovation team was uncovering life hazards by the minutes. So happy that, even though I'm now all the way out in Virginia, new generations in Colorado can discover the wonderfulness of Casa Bonita for themselves. It would be about the main characters finding out that Casa Bonita has shut down, and they decided to save up and buy the restaurant, probably with Randy's help with the money from his weed farm, renovate it and bring Casa Bonita back to its former glory.

This is one of those places I learned actually existed IRL through the show and after seeing how cool it was I fell in love. Now that Matt & Trey own it, upgraded it and made it even better, plus added a little reference to the show, it's now a life goal to get there one day. I just hope the place is still around when I finally get the opportunity. It's just such a chill atmosphere, like an even better Rainforest Cafe.
