Ik this was a while ago but I currently only pay $56 for Anejo for a 750 ml bottle at my ABC store so I’m curious where about you may live because that seems pretty high of a price

Nice video. Disagree about higher proof being not important. Try Fortaleza Still Strength (46%) or G4 108 (54%) and you will experience the same jump in complexity, mouth feel, and flavors as with whisky.

Have either of you tried the 1800 Anejo? It's pretty tasty and it still comes in at 58$ so far I've put it up against the Teremana Anejo and the Cazadores Anejo, Have not done Casamigos vs 1800 yet

When you see a Spanish word containing an "N" with what we'd call a tilde above, the pronunciation changes. Think of it like saying "nyet" versus "net"

Casamigos somewhat overrated for its price. Not to mention they likely use additives (they don’t deny it). The best tequila available at the LCBO is El Tequileno and El Tesoro.

I recently got a 1st batch from a new company you may want to try out. Agave Trails tequila anejo i have batch 1 ...9,856 bottle made. Its owned by a guy i think named brian sisk Its cheap for what you get i spent $33 all in with tax flavour profile is very complex. Guy who makes it is very into complex and detailed flavour and prefers charred barrels. I believe he used french oak charred barrels. They wanted me to sample and review it for them. Its very unique in flavour and uses no additives and its super apparent in color and taste. Comes in a whine style bottle with a long neck. Its a sexy simple look. Lable of the bottle is similar print to the rocks tequila but drink doesnt suck 😂. If you can find it give it a shot its really worth the effort to find. Bottle its self is sexy on a bar plus you get an amazing drink. I wouldnt mix with it though obviously. I havent had repasado or blanco. Such a new company its fabulous get in on the ground floor before someone buys it out and ruins it. Glass of bottle has so much class and is thick and slim style. Color is amber of the tequila yet very clear. Owner of brand used to only do bourbons.

@@sarahgbadebo9415 agave gives of a bubble gum not when it’s absent of oak. It’s the oak aging that robs tequila of its bubble gum flavour. You’ll find it more in silvers or tequilas with added agave pulp.

The creation story of casamigos is so fake it's cringe. If you are as rich as the creators why would you ask a distiller to make your tequilla with an autoclave and use additives? The creation aside, because at the end of the day all that matters is taste, why would someone with all the money and resources who has acquired a love for Tequila go for what is essentially an entry Tequila that is an easy drinker? I'm new to Tequila's but for myself it's Whiskey and I've slowly gone towards Whiskey's with stronger and more complex flavors that would be hard to drink for a new Whiskey drinker. So the fact that the creators who are Tequila lovers went in the opposite direction towards one of the easiest drinking Tequila just blows my mind on what's reasonable. It's a good Tequila though. It's just not complex and lacks the bite I'm looking for as someone who is used to drinking Whiskey neat.
