DESCRIPTION
It was Wednesday the 2nd of August 1989. 41-year-old Marguerite Edwards started the day like any other. Making sure her three daughters were up, and ready for school.
Marguerite was happily married to Iain Edwards, a successful orthodontist with a surgery in Bondi. They lived in a two-storey house on Victoria Road, Woollahra in Sydney’s Eastern suburbs.
After getting her daughters organised, Marguerite dropped them at Ascham school, in the nearby suburb of Edgecliffe. She then made her way to an aerobics class, before doing some shopping at Bondi. She returned to her Woollahra home sometime after midday.
Later that afternoon, Marguerite's three daughters were waiting. School had finished, and they were wondering where mum was…

I subscribed yesterday after listening to a few newer episodes. Today, I’ve listened from episode 1 to now 22. This channel caught its stride fairly early on as far as presentation, and has only bettered its quality. Glad to have stumbled upon you guys!

Hoho, years ago when i lived in Australia with my parents we lived in Edgecliff, on Ocean Avenue, it was indeed a lovely area. My father had taken up the offer from the company he worked for in Britain to open up a subsidiary office in the Antipodes which is how we ended up near Sydney. I was just 11yrs old in 1963 & coming from a country area near the Scottish/English borders, coming to Sydney NSW Aust was a complete culture shock! But me & my mum & dad fully embraced the lifestyle of Sydney My school was great & i made firm friends which have lasted until this present day. It was a wonderful place to live, so near Sydney city centre yet close to the water& some gorgeous little boutique shops hiding in the leafy little lanes around Edgecliff. My very 1st boyfriend lived on Ocean Avenue too & his brother was a chap called Martin Sharp who was an artist & ran with the bad boy set who had started a very controversial magazine called " Oz Magazine" This magazine when printed back in UK contravened the obscene literature Act( or something) & it eventually went to court A guy called Richard Neville ( who id met a few times at my boyfriends house when Richard was pals with Martin) I think it ended up with Richard & associates going to prison for a while! I think Martin had chugged back to Australia before the Oz magazine was started in Uk All wild crazy times then & a brilliant place to be a teenage renegade! I left to accompany my parents back to Uk around 1970 but i wish id stayed there, however in those days we werent quite as liberated as we thought we were! Id never heard about this case of Marguerites from Edgecliff Ive forgotten when this happened ? But this is the 1st time ive heard it Anyway thank you as always! Im just having a run back to your very earliest vids to see if i missed any ... & joy of joys.. I have! So i can listen to these older ones til your next new vid 🇬🇧👧

I feel bad that Iain had to go through the unimaginable pain of being suspected of murdering his wife. I understand that given the information at the time, it made sense to suspect him, but man. Losing year-long connections and being alienated due to being the _assumed_ killer of his wife whose death still devastated him himself on top of dealing with the grief of the ordeal must've been rough.

I can't imagine what this poor woman went thru! Or, her kids coming home from school and finding all that blood. 😢

He should have received life! How do you decide what someone's life is worth? He gets 22 years & the next guy might get 30. In the end, he received his life sentence. The family got the justice they deserved!
