On Monday the 23rd of May 1994, a violent storm hit the city of Perth, Western Australia. Peter Lawrence was starting to become concerned.
It was getting late and his wife Pamela Lawrence hadn’t gotten home from work yet. He called her at 6:15 pm, when he didn’t get an answer he decided he had better go down and check on her….

Truly excellently told story. The dangers of confession evidence shown again. Suspect with idiosyncrasies who the police fixate upon is pushed past exhaustion and asked to ‘imagine’ what happened. 12 years! Amanda Knox case similar (4 years).

Well told! A very interesting story. I imagine a guys who is mentally fragile would crack in Andrew’s situation. His family knew in their hearts he wasn’t the one. What a sad story for all involved.

Come on now people, we all know by now after watching hundreds of crime shows, anybody who has a smile that lights up the room, that has the personality that everyone gravitates towards, that would give the shirt off their back, will wind up dead. Well lack of character, there you are! Yeah, ``things didn't go well'' for a lot of people in their 20's in the '90's. But, one just sucks it up, tells mom and dad they're ``fine,'' and keep on keeping on. One doesn't say to mummy and daddy, ``things aren't going well and I need bailout.'' I mean, how bad was it? I basically was couch-flopping and even walking the streets of New York with my suitcases at one point, stranded. I did call home for cash to fix my car once. It was horrific, with lots of tears, but telling mummy and daddy to fly me to their house was not an option. That is not ``adulting.''

Andrew never should have played around with the police by offering them a bunch of cock and bull stories since they already had it out for him. Glad that forensics cleared him. Bet those officials responsible for landing Andrew behind bars were embarrassed by the new findings and outcome.

This goes to show you just how important the proper procedures of justice are. Its easy to say this or that person is obviously guilty and they cant be allowed to get away with it. I see this in the comments sextion of this podcast all the time. But heres its clear what jappens whej police and judges actually follow rhat logix.

Unfortunately, if a person has a mood/personality disorder - there IS substantial scientific evidence it (cannabis) does harm. It is a depressant. Look up peer-reviewed articles. Studies from Holland, France, and Germany. Even the USA and the UK. If the mind has psychological issues, even weed can cause harm or worsen the condition(s) a person has.
