I am amazed at the skills of a farmer to learn about everything and figure it out without having to go to someone. Well done!

Been a mechanic for 32 years. I’ve seen relays do some weird stuff. Glad it’s a cheap fix for you.

Most construction companys have a master locks that are all keyed the same. I worked for a company that had all there locks with a a72 key. So you can get master lock to sell you locks that take the same key.

You can grab a pretty decent universal cut off switch from Napa for around $50

I just had the same problem with my Case Skidsteer. I found 2 relays bad in fuse box. I used a Lisle 60150 Relay tester to test them. I found two relays bad. Replaced them and it fix my problem. The relays were Omron G8V-RH-1CTR-DC12. I found a pack of 4 on Amazon for $13.00 made in USA. It is the same relay GM uses for fuel pump.

Gonna say: Growing up on a Michigan pig farm, I learnt it was important to count the tits. "The old saying "worthless as teats on a boar!" is not true. People in the know understand that the teats on the boar hog is the most important thing in hog production. The number of teats on a boar hog determines the number of teats that will be on his daughters born out of his offspring. The more teats on the boar hog the better. Many hog raisers will not buy or use a boar hog unless he has at least 14 or more teats because their daughter's will have more teats and will raise more pigs." Other than that worthless information for non pig farmers, great video.

I had so many electrical issues in My Bobcat until I pulled the harness and tested every wire- there was hidden damage where a rodent chewed wire has been covered up with corrugated tubing!

That master switch may be there to lesson the chances of an electrical fire. As that equipment gets older, the wiring problems may cause it to burn down. I would either put it back on, replace it or take the battery cable off, when not in use.

The switch can also be bought on Amazon.

Think of how much cheaper it is to cut a padlock with a pair of lock cutters, and replace it as opposed to replacing an ignition switch which involves a technician coming out.
