Because George was not working, or at least not working on that particular day. This may be old-fashioned, but I am not laying up with a man in the presence of my children (especially young girls,) that I am not married to, or with a man who does not live with me and we obviously have a committed relationship. George did not live there or he would not have knocked when he returned to the apartment. If he did not have a key, then Mom did not want him in her place when she was not home. Parents must set an example for children. Would mom had been okay if she came home and her 14-year-old daughter was laid up with a 15-year-old boy? Probably not. Then why would mom show that behavior in front of impressionable young children? If George did not do it...he damn sure knows something. And they did not notify police until 6pm; however, Mom returned at 11a. You wait 7 hours to call the police when your toddler and pre-teen are missing?

I really think they're still alive somewhere as well! but when I listen to the podcast about this case which I have been following since the day these people went missing and there has never been very much information given to the public they said that George Washington the mom's boyfriend and diamonds father was found with traces of hair in the trunk of his car and a receipt from home Depot purchasing bleach gloves and garbage bags. 😔

My take on this: Boyfriend came back, they trusted him and let him in. He did something to diamond and because the other was his child, he left her abandoned. He knew those kids were alone because he was the one that took the mom to work. Mom was so in love that she probably denied that could happen.

I want children but with having sickle cell disease and having so much going on as far as pain, hospitalizations, and a upcoming hip replacement surgery its best that I don't right now. I read one report that the on and off boyfriend George and Tracy were in the middle of a paternity suit and he didn't show much interest in Diamond. He never went out to search or assisted with the investigation. The aunt, I believe her name is Sheila, believes he had something to do with it. Tracey has two other older daughters who said she was not a good mother and she had regularly left them to care for themselves. Tracey refused to believe that George had anything to do with the disappearance and she went on to have a son with him of whom he has custody. Tracey Bradly has a total of six kids by various men. Oh, and also Tracey waited six hours to call the police because she was afraid they would take her other kids because she left the girls alone. Some people felt that she had mental and drug issues which would explain everything. And the fact that GEORGE HAS CUSTODY???

In 99 I started a new job. My children were 9,8 4 & 3. My cousin said she would babysit but I had to come get her. She lived about 30 minutes from me. I thought I could run pick her u and come right back. I told the oldest to not open the door and everyone is to stay in my bedroom. I got in my car and something told me this ain't right, they to young and go get them kids. I went and put my kids in the car and I can honestly say leaving them alone has never crossed my mind again. One of the best decisions I ever made.

It has been 18 years and nobody has found or seen these girls, why was George at the door when he left with the mother?? I look at him first I think this case needs a new set of detectives, eyes and team to reevaluate this case because why didn't the family watch these girls while mom worked.. It is so many unanswered questions right here but George would have been the first person looked at from day one in my book... In my heart I don't feel that these girls are dead but something strange is going on with this case and the family that only speaks of 1 child when their is 2 missing.... The Almighty GOD sees everything and knows what happen to these girls I have tears in my eyes listening to this story all over again.... I remember as a kid hearing about this. I am now 30 - it’s so sad because I always felt it was someone they knew and was known the mother. Someone they would have trusted - however the mother knows more and has never spoke publicly as it seems about her daughters. And for everyone stating the Torres family speaking about Tionda a lot that’s because that’s her fathers family- not Diamond.. not that they don’t care it’s just tionda was their kin. Diamond had a different father possibly the man who kidnapped them both. I pray their safe and somewhere out here ! Such a sad story - family needs closure in many articles they say that the mother was “ uncooperative “ and also took a polygraph test. Something isn’t right about this story !

This was 2001. A different time. I was the around the same age in the late 90s-Early 2000s watching my little sisters. I’m from Chicago & I know plenty of kids that had to be home alone frequently. My mom had hella rules for when we were home alone. One of them was that we couldn’t open the dr or answer the phone for anyone but her (I had to wait until the answering machine would click on to hear *her* on the recorder tell me to pick up the phone.) She drove me nuts during that time calling every hr lol. My mom didn’t want to leave us alone especially bc we were four young girls but at times that’s what she had to resort to if she had no other options.

For those complaining about only one child being missing this is Tionda’s dads family speaking diamond is her little sister and Gorge daughter. It’s not like they forgot about her. I seen this story a few years ago on find our missing and I’m so glad that they are bringing this story back so that more awareness may be given and hopefully these beautiful young woman are found safely

You owe no one any explanation. My mom was single mom just like Tionada's mom. She worked early in the morning at the bakery at Dominick's grocery store. During the summer like Tionada I was in charge of watching my younger siblings. I was 13 and my brother was 11. My youngest brother was 9 and my baby sister was 4. My , mom didn't have anyone else to watch. I was responsible like Tionada. Everything was fine and it should have been for Tionada too. I pray that for safe return of both girls. As many times I have heard different versions of this case to find out the mom's "friend" George is the same name that Tionda said was at the door 🤔💭🤨 was he spoken to? Given a lie detector test? Cuz it wouldn't be to hard for him to drop the mom off at work & come back to the house to do whatever he went there to do & be back to pick up their mom at 11. maybe he was hurting Tionda or wanted to hurt her that day and ended up killing both girls even tho he was the alleged father of Diamond.... The mom didn't have anyone in her corner that would have helped her by watching the kids? I remember this case cuz they went missing exactly 2months after my 1st child was born my daughter is now 18 and getting ready to attend college so it's been that long with no answers that's crazy AF I believe this case is 100% solvable so I hope they solve it real f'n soon.
