Border at 7:25 means this card belongs to the 100 Demons deck. It's a world on its own. Other cards can be in the 100 Demons deck as well, if they have that red Japanese symbol on top right corner. Border @ 11:11 means it's a Generic card, and doesn't belong to any world and it can go to almost every world. 14:32 That's because a size 30 monster exists ONLY in the Chaos World deck, and its FLAG allows you to have up to 99 SIZE on the field and its boss monster, Geargod, if he is in the center he can have another monster, meaning 4 MONSTERS on the field. A card can be used in the Chaos deck if it has that purple 3 eyes symbol in the bottom right corner. Till now it was the most powerful deck in the game. And of course you would get a Buddy Rare card at 14:56. :P While it will have value, not a 100 dollar card. The inflatable sword is the sword that Gargantua Dragon uses, the Buddy Monster of this series' main character. Triple rare cards, for the most part, are good. Especially the one in 7:55, and it's an Omni Lord, which can go to any deck, but once if it's not its own world. Alwidol, the yellow card in 8:18 is one of the best staples in Legend World, and the fact I see it as common makes me happy. Legend World decks require old cards and they can be expensive. Believe me when I say the new support for older decks are WAY more powerful than the best cards it used to have. Also, most rares you pull used to be very expensive as well and you needed a play set of them (4 copies). Hell, those new COMMONS for older decks boost them. I like and play Buddyfight a lot. :P

Honestly it's cards like this that make me wish I was a kid again. Back then Yu-gi-oh and Pokemon were the biggest TCG from Elementary to High School. I do see these cards being more popular with kids due to how colorful they are and how unique they are. As much as I love MTG and other TCGs, the card design itself is pretty boring compared to something like this. Digimon tried that with their TCG, but they didn't put enough effort in pushing the limits and it failed. If something like this was around 20 years ago, I think it'd probably be up there with the rest of the TCGs.

Such a shame this game is barely supported in Sydney. The game is really fun but it's extremely frustrating when stores don't stock it/no tournament support/barely anyone plays. And during Bushiroad's official tournaments, BF and Weiss are always in the same time slot (which is fair but I'm always going to choose Weiss). I'll just stick to buying pre-constructed decks for this game.

Here in Greece, we have the same problem. One stores supports BF fanatically, since we all go there and play, while Vanguard is almost everywhere. WS isn't as played as the other two, though and it is expensive in general due to the licences.

The mechanics are pretty great. It's one of the few TCGs that I think actually nails the ideal of "simple to understand, but complex when you dig deeper". And whereas Vanguard is sort of their more casual-oriented game where they just throw whatsoever shit they feel at the wall, Buddy feels really tight mechanics-wise, from how it handles resource management to monster size restrictions to the level of interactivity on your opponent's turn.

I love the buddy rare foiling. Most of what this game does is too over the top and actively ruins the art...looking at you double rares in particular. But buddy rare makes the card look cool without impacting the ability to appreciate the actual art. Very well done.

It's a set for the TCG called Weiss Scharz. It has a lot of anime properties like Attack on Titan, Re:Zero, Fate Zero, TTGL, Madoka Magicka among others and soon they will release a set based on the new Cardcaptor Sakura series. The Japanese version has more anime properties and STAR WARS as well.

The problem with these games is the cards are so out there random, that they feel like they don't hold any mental value. You have these random "things" that seem to just be Anime characters or things from Animes that you have to have seen to understand or recognize. The appeal of cards in Magic, are that they are so simple, anyone who just picked up the game can recognize "Oh, that's a 4-Armed Zombie" and his text reflects what he is, to what he does. Simple. Magic > Everything Else
