Case peanut vs Rough Rider peanut

nice comparison. I have just started collecting Case knives as well. I can not explain the attraction but it always seems to be around midnight when I find myself with credit card in hand and wondering why I just bought another Cas knife on line . As far as your video I found it to be very complete and enjoyable to watch. You convey a very sincere and honest message. Thanks

Rough Rider is not a Chinese Company. Rough Rider is the House Brand for Smoky Mountain Knife Works, a company located in Tennessee. They do have all of their production done off shore with most of it done in China. A few Rough Riders were also made in Pakistan (these pretty much suck) and a couple are also made in El Salvador in the Condor Knife and Tool Factory. Great review and comparison. A Case knife is better but at 4 times the price it better be! Chrome Vanadium is 1095 carbon steel and better than their standard Tru Sharp Stainless which is a 425 modified Stainless. Case also has better quality control.

Thanks for the info, i recently heard or the smoky mountain knife works connection with rough rider knives. i have three case knives atm, all are better quality control with the exception of my three blade stock man, It was badly pinned together and the pin that held the main blade and sheep's foot fell out in my pocket, so i had two razor sharp blades loose in my pocket i didn't notice till i got home! Thankfully they both stuck in my wallet instead of my leg. i still highly rate case over rough rider.

I like Rough Riders, and that's a nice one... but it's easy to see why it is worth spending more to get a Case - that's a lovely Case peanut. I carry a Case peanut most days and I am very impressed with it. ...and BTW, your video does NOT suck - I enjoyed it :-)

Thanks i glad someone enjoyed the video :) I hope to improve my video quality and content soon. I have a few rough rider knives, im just uploading a video now which shows most of my small slip joint collection, it;s nothing fancy but my traditional slip joint addiction has gust started lol

Thanks for the video! You were very informative and showed great detail. I ordered a Case Peanut and two Rough Riders yesterday. Can't wait to get them. I laughed when you say you are "addicted" to Case knives. I've never had a Case so I am excited to check em out. But Pricey! Rough Riders look amazing for the price. But you were expressing doubt about the quality of your video and I just wanted to say nice job and pat yourself on the back!
