The horror and agony that poor boy went through is absolutely unimaginable. Mark Kilroy is a hero. Bless his soul.

The Mark Kilroy case was heart wrenching for us in Texas since so many of our young venture out on their own go down to South Texas and Mexico to have fun without the restrictions we have on the States. Yet, because of their youth they lack the sense of doom older people have with the dark side of Mexico. I've been to Laredo and was roughed up by the police for simply walking down the street with my friend without paraphernalia or alcohol. They asked for money to stop harassing us. We gave them all the visable money we had and move on.

@fun without the restrictions That's a euphemism for knee walking drunk and puking their guts up. A rite of passage for Texas kids.

The saddest (& most terrifying) story that Casefile has covered. Just horrifying for his parents & the friends that were with Mark that night. Truly heartbreaking.

I was thinking the same thing, this is the most horrific case on here. To be tortured and then murdered that way......It’s sad to say but by the end of his ordeal he’s probably begging them for death to end his suffering. Truly heart wrenching

I live in Brownsville and was 10 years old when this happened. I just remember everyone being on edge and no one letting their kids go outside to play.

It's not only Casefiles...we're inundated nowadays w/the purging of the dark...time of Dark to Light. It's been explained in astrology since 2009. I've always been "intrigued" w/crime due to 8th house planets. I also have a tendency to trust and am too honest, and find that as I get older this obsession has helped to "protect' me....even though I'm still sometimes fooled by the facade of deceivers....but less so. These days the demeanor and behavior of narcs, sociopaths, traffickers, etc is so documented that we should ALL be more aware. It's necessary to be more discerning and defensive in these times....world has really changed.

This story was so horrifying....and so incredibly sad. As much as this unique family came to view his death and the "good" they made possible after, it truly is remarkable that they call all "this" as part of God's plan. I know deep within they're right....but life has become so full of Evil...everywhere....why must more suffer to purge this darkness? My mind is constantly blown by how incredibly evil people are. The only comfort came at the end that mother and son are now together.

You are so right! This world is getting more evil with each passing day and that's the way it's supposed to be.. it's God's plan... Just keep believing in God and in good and try to do your best and live a good life and not hurt anyone on purpose. We don't know when this life will end, but if YOU BELIEVE in Jesus Christ as YOUR Lord and Savior, as Mark and his parents did, the reward of Eternity, where there is NO more pain and suffering tears and everything bad, will be worth it. It's hard to explain it... YOU just have to have FAITH and TRUST IN JESUS, as He did NOT die for US in vain, just hang on to your faith and God bless. xx 🙏🏻 💜

I agree. Twenty years ago, Damon could’ve easily played the role of Kilroy in a full length feature film. I covered the ‘religious’ aspect of this story while working as a reporter in Houston. I was was inundated with info from interviews I had with mythologists, anthropologists, cultural historians, law enforcement behaviorists & everyone in between. I’d forgotten about some of the more gruesome particulars of this story. I hate that so many innocents were kidnapped, tortured & murdered for the distorted belief system of these narco-occultists , but Mark was seemingly more brutally tortured before being killed . What happened to him was particularly barbaric. I covered a lot of stories in my 32 years in broadcasting, some were appalling, but the Kilroy case was absolutely nausea inducing.

It's best to just never talk & never trust to strangers. Mark kilroy is in a safe peaceful place now. 😢🙏🏻💖

It puzzles me how weak people are. The podcast has to issue a disclaimer offering "support" in case the content is "distressing" is crazy. It means that easily distressed people willingly watch or listen to such content and then complain that they were triggered. I should know ... I write scripts for a few KZbin channels and have to always be careful how I bring up certain things.
