Couple tips because this game is super fun you just have to learn it. being in dark rooms, interacting with cursed possesions, witnessing interactions all lower your sanity; the lower the sanity more likely youll get hunted. Walk around with thermometer and camera to check for cold rooms or orbs if you get either it indicates the ghost room. If you hear or see the ghost interact with anything check EMF and UV(also indicates ghost room). Once the ghost room is found set up DOTS and book. Periodically check spirit box in the ghost room usually being alone works best lights have to be off. Keep an eye out for all the evidence and mark and rule out ones as you go until you know what ghost it is. If you are being hunted dont talk, turn off all electronics and find a hiding spot and make sure the ghost doesnt see you enter the hiding spot

There are a lot of things this game doesn't seem to make clear, which makes it near impossible for new players. Generally speaking (from the last time I played anyways, this might be a bit outdated.) You always want to start by turning on the breaker so the house warms up. Then you can use the EMF and the thermometer to look around every room for cold temperatures and/or EMF activity, this will give you an idea of where they are. You can turn on room lights to keep your sanity from dropping, but if you spend too much time in the light this will make the ghost mad at you. Once you think you have the room, you can begin using your other tools. The spirit box only responds to certain sentences, like "Where are you, are you friendly, can you give me a sign" etc, so you have to be pretty deliberate in what you say. Sometimes it will only speak if there is a person alone, and it will only speak if the lights are off in the room. The camera is good for DOTS and Ghost orbs, which also need lights off. The notebook has to be opened and placed, which you can ask it to write in it or "give me a sign", if it starts hunting (your lights start flickering, the front door gets locked etc) you need to turn off all electronics you are holding including your flashlight and do not speak, it can hear you and detect electronics. If it is chasing you/sees you, you have to break line of sight before hiding or it will just follow you. Go into a closet and make sure to keep the doors shut, it will try to open them as it walks by. When you are above a certain sanity it won't attack, but once it gets low (by staying in the dark) you become vulnerable. There are also a lot of other tools you can buy that makes things easier. I hope you guys play this again sometime, and I would definitely recommend checking out some more information first. Insym is a great KZbin channel to check for information as well. Hey Shroud! Here's some phrases you can ask on the Spirit Box, since I noticed it irritated you a bit. Valid questions you can ask the ghost: Where are you? How old are you? Are you here? Are you friendly? Are you close? Try your best to make sure you have ZERO equipment on in your hand when hiding, as the ghost will track your equipment down to the very last step you took when holding it. Additional tip: The ghost can only do activity within and around its ghost room, so nothing else will happen anywhere in the map - unless it's a ghost that can teleport and stuff. Make sure you know your hiding spots and memorize them, too! :D Glad to see you playing this game- was a very nice surprise.
