@@pacermusicmaker7930 I remember watching the trial as it was happening, and my personal feelings on it is the prosecution shared everything they could as effectively as they could. However, they couldn't anticipate the selfishness of the jury. Because of local biases, they had to bus people in from a city 90 minutes away and sequestered those jurors away from friends, family, their lives, and the outside world. It just so happened the trial and jury deliberations were running them close to July 4th's festivities, and I truly believe they all just wanted to go home to their families and barbeque meat and shoot off fireworks. They couldn't care less that they were letting a selfish, depraved sociopath go free, all that mattered to them was that they weren't stuck away from their friends and family any longer. That one of the jurors stated that they could more readily believe that Caylee drowned and Casey "covered it up for three years" over the possibility that she killed her daughter and lied about it just speaks volumes. And the fact the original vote was 10-2 "not guilty" just tells me people on the jury cared more about themselves than for justice for that little girl.

@@cjbenson76, but she wouldn’t have calmed down that much when it’s a child. That was my point. It would be bad enough if it was just a pet, but I’ve especially never seen a competent mom get over her child being missing that fast. There’s a difference between pulling yourself together versus clearly lacking any sort of emotion. She was more relaxed in this video than most people are even in their day-to-day life. Not only did she lack emotion, but she didn’t care to even talk about her child. She was more focused on speaking about the media. Most moms would lean into the media anyway, in order to aid them in looking for their child. They would be trying to do something, ask questions, etc. If she had just pulled herself together like you seem to think, she would be more goal-oriented, not avoiding it all together.

And if my only option is finding her guilty of first degree murder or letting her be a free woman, imma go ahead and vote murder. I was cool as a cucumber while my daughter was going through anaphylactic shock, I didn’t really react until I was alone in a room with my husband and she was “out of the woods” sleeping, then I cried and screamed and broke down at home with my husband. Wether she did it or not, idk. I chose forensic pathology as a career because of that reason and recognizing that it’s not a very common trait but I chose to do something productive with it, some people like this don’t, but she didn’t get here psychologically on her own.

Agreed. Most people commenting here about this situation they are in seem to be lacking context. This interview is happening 30+ days after her daughter is missing, 30+ days of lying to her parents about it, a few days of lying to police about imaginary jobs, co-workers, baby sitters ... this interview is happening just after they literally arrested her at Universal Studios because she brought police there to see her office ... for a job she never had. Every single thing she has said to EVERYONE leading up to this interview has been maliciously fabricated. IMHO this orgy of behavioral circumstantial evidence to her guilt is what lulled the state into a false sense of security over the murder 1 charge.

They're charming, they're ambitious, they know how to mask themselves and be the life of the party, and they know how to make YOU look like the narc or the crazy ex. At least sociopaths tend to be more notably socially awkward and not neccessarily as interested in manipulating you and psychopaths just flat out rarely bother trying to have personal relationships. So no, people won’t never forget what she did, because no one knows what happened. I am in no doubt that Casey is responsibly for her daughters death but people really have a God complex if they claim to know something the cops and prosecution still don’t know. It is utterly impossible to claim first degree murder beyond reasonable doubt when you don’t know when, where or how someone died. It makes her fathers story of an accidental drowning then a cover up seem perfectly plausible, but the prosecution only put first degree murder on the table as an option. One clear sign Casey Anthony murdered her daughter Caylee, when interrogated by police she is not emotionally paralyzed but calm, like waiting for a movie. She is working so hard analytically to behave right, that she behaves wrong. She doesn't know because she's a sociopath. I was more distressed when my cat went missing and got into a fight with the neighbor's dog and I didn't know yet if she was hurt, maimed, or killed than she was at the horrifying murder of her own child.

Roughly 10% of the population are sociopaths or have notable sociopathic tendencies. This does not make someone a murderer, that's a movie or murder p0rn trope. The vast majority of people who commit murder are not sociopaths. There is also no "behaves wrong" here. when 10% of your population are sociopaths, that's a norm. Its different from what, 50% maybe exhibit, but its still a norm. Bit off topic here, but there's actually some very good studies on how and why sociopaths are so common and their value to society and value within emotional mammal groups. You know what was most disturbing to me in this video? It was not even the case. I’m sure most people know but in case you don’t Casey Anthony had a daughter named Caylee. She was around 3 years old when she went missing. During the time period where she was missing, Casey was partying/having a good time (this isn’t on the Wikipedia but I could have sworn that’s what I learned in class). Caylee was reported missing by her grandmother after a month. Casey lies about the circumstances, telling her family that Caylee was just with a nanny (who didn’t exist) having fun. When it was discovered she was missing she lied and said the nanny kidnapped her child. The child’s remains were eventually found in the woods behind her house. There is some controversy around this evidence, some people claim the guy who found it placed it there, but this has never been proven or even looked at in a legal setting. Casey’s car was also found and said to smell horrible, “like someone died.” And the smell primarily was coming from the trunk. Many believe that Casey killed her 3 year old as she no longer wanted to be a mother and instead wanted to enjoy life (hence why she was partying while her child was missing). The defense claimed the child died as an accident, drowning in a swimming pool, and that Casey and George Anthony (I believe Casey’s father) were covering up the death. They also claimed her lying was due to being sexually abused by her father, but this was not proven in court and the attorney was banned from mentioning it in closing statements. Casey Anthony was found not guilty on her murder charge, but was found guilty of giving false information to the police. She had to serve some jail time and pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for the efforts made to locate her daughter based on false information she provided which she knew was false. Edit: I am not entirely sure where this interview falls in the timeline, but I’m assuming it’s after the body is found since they’re talking about her indictment, and she was no under suspicion until after the body was found Edit 2: NVM she said expressly “she believes Caylee is alive” so obviously the body hasn’t been found yet.

@@CBrown86 unfortunately no. My dad died from the virus a month before I caught it from a security guard at a plant I was picking up from who refused to wear a mask. My mom and sister caught it from my dad (he was a medical courier, delivering life saving supplies to hospitals). My mom's symptoms were mild and she fully recovered. My sister, a 28 year old international gold medal martial artist with no health conditions nearly died, and still hasn't recovered. She's been getting MRI's, chest x-rays, EKGs, blood work, etc, trying to figure out exactly what's wrong and try to find a course of treatment. This girl could throw 300lb men across rooms, and now she can't climb the stairs without losing her breath and having sever heart palpitations. I have sever asthma and Lupus. It's dumb luck that I survived. Before I became a semi truck driver, I worked for a biomedical lab for 12 years, handling many infectious diseases, including SARS. The NIH thinks I had small exposures over a long period of time to SARS which kind of taught my body how to fight the virus. I survived, but I haven't recovered. I haven't seen a doctor in a few months because I lost my insurance when I lost my job because I couldn't return. I can hardly walk down the hall, let alone climb up in trucks, unhook trailers, move tandems, crank legs down (you'd be surprised how physical the job is, especially for a petite 5'2 girl, but I love it). I'm not even getting unemployment right now because my company says I quit, which I kinda did, but not because I wanted to, it was because I caught a deadly virus that already killed my dad, while working for them, and haven't recovered. I am getting better though, very slowly, but it's happening. My sister isn't as lucky. I feel horrible for her. I'm used to being sick, there were a few years in my early 20's where they didn't think I was going to make it, but I did and I got healthier (somehow. Still not sure how that happened. I stopped taking a lot of my meds and started feeling better. Even switched careers because I wanted to travel), and now it kind of feels like I've regressed back to that time, where I'm exhausted and hardly leave my bed and just lay here using my nebulizer and sleeping. I'll be ok though, as long as I don't get infected again (I didn't get the long lasting antibodies, and they only lasted 2 months in my mom and sister). I know I will get better. I've done it before, and I'm slowly getting more stamina and my mind isn't as foggy (that was super annoying. Not being able to say what I was thinking. It's like there's a disconnect between your brain and mouth. My sister still has it really bad). Just stay safe. Go out as little as possible. Wear a mask, and STAY AWAY from people who won't wear one (I avoided catching it when my family had it by us all wearing masks, socially distancing, and obsessively washing my hands. I caught it my FIRST DAY back to work because that woman refused to wear a mask and kept getting into my personal space. I tried to be polite and just back away casually, but she kept getting close to talk to me), wash or sanitize your hands, and socially distance. It really does work. I was so obsessive. I wore disposable gloves, sprayed my shoes down with alcohol when I got in my truck, sprayed the outside of my truck with Lysol, and all it took was one person who didn't want to wear a mask. Please stay safe. 4 immediate family members caught it. One died. Two still haven't recovered. That's not good odds. I don't wish any of this on anyone.
