That was just a perfect cover of that song for me, that is just my style, it has that grunge sound to it, that Velvet Underground, Nirvana, Sonic Youth, and Pagoda sound that just makes it so strong and powerful, I could listen to this song forever, I knew there was some Grunge soul in him, and he just came out with this performance that absolutely blew me away, it's not something I'd expect to hear in American Idol, and that's why I'm absolutely loving this season. Casey, you are a genius.

If he wins, which he is VERY VERY VERY likely to, since he has EVERYTHING going for him, the looks, the groove, the voice, the style, the sound, everyone loves this guy, he is appealing to a the whole music industry and the vast majority of any kind of audience, he is playing he's cards just right, and if he does win, which he will, and bring back this kind of music, he'll be one of MY BIGGEST IDOLS OF ALL TIME. I love crystal too but if he brings grunge back, It'd be heaven, and he can do it!

this is hands down a better version of the song so much more soul and his voice is great. john lennons version puts me to sleep. Yes i have the up most respect for John lennon but people have all different opinions on what is better. I vote Casey and i am not even that big of an idol fan.

he's doing very well released his debut album 03/2012 that was #2 on country charts and is working on album #2.. it has a much more rock/blues sound versus the 1st that leaned more county/blues. He tours nationally and doing very well.

Nobody seems to be saying it, but the dude's got alot of Eddie Vedder's sound. That's the underlying grunge thing we're getting. Randy Jackson took some of those Vedder phrasings as "off pitch", but that tone bending is the thing. This performance sets a new bar for idol.
