My back responded really well to training. I think big muscle groups are just easier to build because you can typically go heavier on them so taking sets to failure is easier. I do heavy bent over rows and lat pull downs. Three variations on the pull downs; neutral grip, reverse grip, and wide grip. Even training them once a week I blew up. I had NO back prior to training. Took me maybe a year to build up a decent back. Conversely, my biceps and rear delts are a struggle to build up at all despite trying many variations with different weights, volume, and frequency.

DO PULLUPS, bent-over rows, and deadlifts. You can supplement with wide grip cable rows and cable lat pull downs. For rear delts, do Y raises. My back is absolutely insane just building these exercises. If you take anything away from this, LAT PULL DOWNS ARE NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR PULL UPS. For reference, 6'6 and 215BW at around 12-13% BF. My back is my strong point by far. Still tweaking my leg and push training.

It's true. Genetics really is a thing. Just like how some guys are 5'6" and some are 6'2". Some people are genius's and some are umm... not so smart. Same thing goes for building muscle and muscle insertions. Like for me, I have insanely strong triceps, big triceps and I literally do no isolation work for them (Casey does some for his lats, I do literally none for my triceps) but my chest however, does not want to grow at all. I thought my legs were bad but I think my chest is the worst for me unfortunately. Then legs and more so specifically calves.
