The biggest screw-up was by ODOT not just getting a dozer or other type of snow plow on that road to plow it open, BEFORE they called for a fuel delivery.
@CaseyLaDelle
@CaseyLaDelle Жыл бұрын
Wrong. ODOT ordered the propane to be delivered beginning of September, just like they do every year. Then when it still hadn’t happened by the end of September, they upgraded it to an emergency order. The propane company still decided to wait until December to send a truck up.

@@CaseyLaDelle Well that's interesting to hear because I noticed that that truck was in America's truck I have a better dress here in Kentucky. It took me a month and a 1/2 and truly threatening with legal action because it's not others disabled they were expecting immensely bad weather. This is very common with America as now and it's because they have sent all of their call centers overseas you can't speak to anyone that speaks American as A first language. They will not but you do care manager they lose your orders they don't care...

The art of winching is not understood by many today . Casey is truly an artist when it comes to winch recovery. It amazes me at the lack of information customers want to withhold when they send you on a recovery and try to play you for a fool also. Someone always spills the beans and the truth comes out .

Being at the scene of a pull out or service call is much different than seeing it on a video. Tow operators must take the best approach to prevent any damages, injuries first off. How people/customers interpret instructions is another worry as I have been their myself many, many times and rarely do folks do what's asked of them properly.. I think Casey did a great job all things considered. When I too was still in the business I handled all service calls on my own, all while being disabled on top of it because I love helping people out and being paid for it too!

I was so glad to hear that Casey is trying those. I have been trying to get someone doing off-road recovery and snow and whatnot and ice to use those to try them out so I'm glad he's open-minded enough to do that!!! They would save so many people's cars and lives that's why he knows especially in those huge pilots on the highways like 3,200 cars in a pile up. Much of that could be prevented because so many more people we have control over vehicles. They could either slow down or avoid the problem altogether!!

Reminds me of the early 80’s when I was in Tank Transporting unit in the British Army in Germany. Truly didn’t understand why they would teach us all the different types of winching, as we were always setup for a straight pull on to the trailer if required. My first winch was a cluster of large proportions and I was thankful of all the great training I had been given before joining my unit. Casey your a master at your profession.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇨🇦

All through the 1990s I piloted a 1980s 1 ton Chevy with a Holmes Commander 1200 on the back and an added on Vulcan wheel lift underneath it. With the right riggings as in snatch blocks and spare cables and chains I was able to do some pretty massive recoveries with this small truck. Some classroom training and a lot of OTJT from some very experienced older guys and a lot of solo stick time. My original teachings were practice in private before preforming in public I think that one line help me be very successful with great recoveries and no additional damages caused. Later on I got spoiled with some pretty stout medium duties but I'll never forget those beginning roots.
