It would have been appropriate for the individual to attend the scheduled meeting, particularly given the nature of Casey’s business. If the person had a legitimate reason for being unable to be on time, they should have anticipated the possibility of such a circumstance and provided an appropriate excuse in advance.

Word gets around about Cascade Heavy Rescue. The owner goes out of his way, drives long distances to rescue vehicles stuck in the snow, for free most times. If this guy can't show kindness and respect to someone, he is asking to save his vehicle, he doesn't deserve your kindness or your help. Thanks for sharing, Cassey.

I wonder if the rude customer even offered an apology when they asked the last time or merely "requested" the tow again. Not that an apology is always sufficient. Hopefully when that customer ends up paying a couple of hundred dollars to retrieve their vehicle they'll actually learn from the experience. There's a reason behind being taught to say, please, thank you and you're welcome. It's also part of being a reasoned mature adult human being.

I have no problem taking it back to our warehouse" Line. Suddenly they have the time and staff to receive. For context our warehouse is 8 1/2 hours away. Thats kind of like with the guy with his car, hit em with the "you want your car or not?" line and all of a sudden the next day at 2pm works for them, they are even there 45 minutes early with a coffee ready for you.

As for the car owner his loss when you make plans you have to be on time. You can't expect people to wait around for you after all you are a busy man. He choose to be disrespectful so you aren't going to waste your time. He probably called back because no one else will go do the recovery.

DEAR CASEY: I’m not a merch buyer but I had an idea for something you could easily make that I would definitely order. Take some trucker hats (red or tan) with the Cascade logo on the front in black, with “I never said I was good at this” in a circle around the logo. Line a bunch of hats up on the ground, paint your tracks (with a brush) with acrylic black paint and run just the back of the hats over with the tracks. When you’re done, autograph the bill. Personal, unique and every hat is different. I already want one of these.

What's most fun for me about your videos is that I live here and it's a great game for me to figure out just exactly where you are doing your recoveries...This one was obviously easy to figure out, but I enjoy the challenge of your "out in the woods" recoveries...Thanks for this video and the heck with the guy who didn't show up in time...

Most of your jobs are free. There is no reason at all for a customer to be rude and because of that he now has to pay big time for the job to get done. As you stated many time AAA does not go to areas that you do especially snow jobs that you do go to and being 1 hour late on their side you could have done another job as you did with the pickup you just did. Good job and with you 100%

Love that about you! I wish I had the kind of job where I could let ppl know their rude demands are not going to be tolerated. Instead we’re asked to suck it up.

The problem is that most people think that they are more important than the contractor, was in the carpentry business for years and if I made an appointment with clients and was going to be 5-10 minutes late I would ring, if I needed other trades and the did not ring or were 15 -30 minutes out ,most off the time I would tell clients to go ,as thy have to be at work and I would not use other trades who could not ring again, ended up with a group of very good & reliable trades

Been there. I was supposed to meet a customer at his house to give him an estimate on rewiring his house. I waited 20 minutes past our scheduled time only to find out he was still an hour away. I left. Somebody acts like that, it doesn’t make you feel very inclined to give them anymore of your time. Good for you!

If you aren't 5 minutes early, you are 5 minutes late... I could understand something happening to cause him to be late, but an hour late is more then enough to require a reschedule. And if the person needing help doesn't appreciate or at show some courtesy towards the person offering to help (even if it's paid help), then they deserve what they get. I'd have also called all the other towing companies and advised them of the experience. If they choose to help, or not, this person, then at least they know what they are getting into.

Enjoy watching your videos which are always interesting and highlight your knowledge experience & competence doing your job. I like your sense of humor & the respectful way you treat people too. Now I have additional respect for you that you don't let jerks & entitled a**holes waste your time. You even offered to do the work the next day even after this guy wasted your time initially & you had to then listen to his tantrum. Thank you for having some self respect & boundaries.

Well if a person can't even consider ringing and letting you know within reasonable times before the meeting that he would be late, 😂 could have offered him a larger bill, like $200 per hour, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones 😊

@@CaseyLaDelle well normally I think they don't charge less than $1000 within 100km of Adelaide, it's 50km to the skirt of town 😅 I only ever used them on behalf of a customer, otherwise I'd use my car trailer, all the best

yea that is the worst part the clown was going to get it done for free.....that is the state of the USA today.....you GIVE something to someone and they just treat it like trash......now after calling around and finding out he will be paying $500 dollars or so and his insurance will not cover "off road" or he can wait until April when the snow is gone he is calling back saying "hey tomorrow works".....oops it works for him, but not for Casey 😂

If the upset guy would have been on time I'm sure you'd have gotten him out post haste. It's his fault for being late even when he was getting a free tow out. Keep up the good work.
