1. Awesome 2. THOSE SLEEVES 😍 3. Wait a minute. Valoween? That's a thing? OMG. Now I must start planning...thanks, Casey 🤣 Voting yes to Morticia.
@CaseyReneeCosplay2 жыл бұрын
I've really only seen Valoween in the Halloween Decor Hunting community but I thought it would be fun to bring it over to the costume community. As long as nothing super crazy happens I'm planning on doing Morticia for it.

I would like to see you remake Morticia but I would have thought she wore satin instead
@CaseyReneeCosplay2 жыл бұрын
It depends on the dress and which version of Morticia. The dress from Addams Family with Angelica Houston used to be on display at Disney Springs, that dress is actually a brocade.

@@CaseyReneeCosplay interesting. I didn't realize that

@@kyradavis8727 yep, I actually don't think any of the gowns from my knowledge are made with satin

Im not done with watching your video but I'm at the part where you talk about pressing the velvet and those expensive velvet boards. What you can try if you really want to press some seams is a scrap piece of velvet as your "velvet board" Sure you don't want to press too hard still - but you can add a bit of pressure that way without crushing the pile :D Maybe thats something you want to try the next time you sew with velvet (if not its fine though xD) (And I will add my thoughts and awwws about your costume when I finished watching xD)
@CaseyReneeCosplay2 жыл бұрын
Yeahhh Ive seen people do that but I'd honestly be the person to press too hard near the end and destroy the entire project and hate it and never wear it.
@WindspielArt2 жыл бұрын
@@CaseyReneeCosplay thats a fair point - then maybe really "splurge" on that velvet board - I would love to watch a remake of that Morticia Adams costume! And your finished costume looks awesome

@@WindspielArt you're right! No one noticed the ripples! I might splurge on it, I think it would be a cool tool to add to my collection.

Oh, well I have been running my business full time now for over 6 years so it's not really a brag as much as a necessity.
