How I learned literally NONE of this in all my schooling and 7 years of university is ASTOUNDING

Just curious on what do you think. I’m currently 5 years in the navy and if I stay 20 years I’ll get a pension that pays $60,000 a year. I currently own three homes that cash flow 1200 a month. I’ve seen a lot of your videos and would like to know would you just stick it out for 15 years. Or leave and go into tech where I could make a lot more and invest a lot faster. I have a mechanical engineering degree and do program management for the navy. I currently make about 90k and would only get out if I could make 175k in tech

Hey man - you could absolutely make $175k in tech. For me, I’m always asking where and how I can maximize leverage to build my freedom and that’s what I would suggest for you as well. I would weigh out both options (navy or tech) to determine which one gets you freedom faster and think through the probabilities of each scenario.

@@JohnMarty-uncommon exactly, one is a guaranteed freedom at 40. The other is making your own through investments. I have no problem doing that. As I’ve already done that with my 3 homes. And have saved 100k in the market. I just feel like I don’t make money fast enough to get to where I want to be

@@JohnMarty-uncommon also, how is work life balance in tech. Mine is really good. I just don’t enjoy what I do at all. It seems all self induced problems by horrible government politics

Work life balance depends on 1 thing - your manager. It’s all team specific - don’t fall for any corporate marketing...also, the same meaningless bullshit happens in tech, you just so happen to make more money in tech.
