Me and my roommate found an apartment really similar to this one also in midtown Manhattan for $2400. It had a beautiful view, an accessible rooftop, and was in a luxury building with updated appliances. We were about to apply and put down a deposit but kept thinking why is it so cheap, there must be a catch. Thank god we googled the address though because all the reviews that came up were 1 out of 5 stars! I guess the building management were not reliable, many people were going months without gas for cooking (don’t know how that’s possible or even legal but many reviews said this), and the building had roaches. Moral of the story, if it seems too good to be true, it PROBABLY is! However, there are some amazing deals out there (like this one might be) but always do your research!
@CashJordan4 жыл бұрын
so if there was no gas it was probably something with the gas company making them redo the building or the gas piping
@lizabernie4 жыл бұрын
@@CashJordan it was weird it wasn’t just gas because doesn’t that mean there won’t be heat in the building? but the tenants specifically said the gas for their stoves weren’t working, for up to 8 months. which might just be an appliance issue but building management definitely should have taken care of that or at the very least disclosed it before the lease was signed. but you’re probably right it must be a piping issue since many people were having this problem. BY THE WAY I WATCH ALLLLL YOUR VIDEOS, and you actually responded to my roommate about a question regarding advanced rent payments, so thanks for that! Lol

An amazing apartment. The kitchen, while a little tight width-size, seems sufficient. Good storage and no unnecessary wine fridge - YES! Very nice bath upgrades. Although, I would call this unit a 1br with office space off the living room. The building amenities were surprising. That gym - WOW!!! A building with onsite laundry always wins. I do need to point out that while that while the laundry room appears large; whether it is large enough depends on the number of apartments in the building. The ratio of apartments to washers/dryers determines how strategic you have to be when planning to do laundry (my building has a decent size laundry room but I still have to think about when to do laundry so to avoid waiting for a machine). Considering the amenities and location, the price is reasonable.

Taking it from my short list of favs: first place is a tie between the luxury bldg in the city at $3900 ( kitchen windows, appliances, out of bounds views from every window!), and Park Ave at $6500 ( still can't get over that wall of windows and FAB kitchen), and second place is battery park for $3600 ( location/views!!! And leisure area right on water!) ties with roosevelt island at $4600!!! I didn't feel any of these could be knocked off their pedestal anytime soon but this "house" of a living space has me seriously pausing!! Quadruple WOW!! That master bedroom is worth every penny of the rent!! I have a very large master bedroom but it is dwarfed by the one in this place! It looks much larger on film! Though I feel it shouldn't share the bathroom, there should be a powder room or half bath elsewhere in the unit! The light blonde flooring is stunning, even the wall color compliments the unit! That green counter in kitchen is tolerable because the "on point" appliances are out of sight ! With the quality cabs the entire kitchen has an added bling! And the frig? BEYOND! The area on the other side of what looks like a load bearing wall is perfect for a makeshift bar, lower cab for the alcohol, upper for glasses, straws, bar snacks etc; plus with this space being situated right at the entrance of kit it makes it an easy way to hand guests a cocktail after someone takes their coat at the door making entertaining FUN again not tedious! And right about now I (maybe not you and that's ok!) and many others have a lot to celebrate since Nov 3! About the living room, I see two 7-9 foot sofas facing each other (a sofa table would be needed, but only behind the sofa that faces whatever wall has tv on it) with two square sturdy leather or wood stools that would double as coffee tables and extra seating, tv could be mounted on either wall, and some classy artwork, especially on both walls flanking sliding doors, that bedroom would be re-purposed as the sunroom, with rattan chairs and table close up on the windows to really enjoy the sun (sunsets too!) and view, the front entrance is wide enough for a circular heavy wood or glass table to seat 6-8 with high back chairs and a rug just to cover the circumference of the table! Bathroom is very spa-like and you can "feel" how spacious it is!!! The building cross the street reminds me of views of several buildings that are part of the manhattan skyline shown in the classic film: "the best of everything" with Joan Crawford and others . . .

I am a native NY’er commenting. First, this is a building that NY’ers would live in. I lived in a similar building but prior to some of the amenities like a gym. We had 2 swimming pools. Now, this is a bona fide one bedroom apartment converted to 2 sleeping areas. A real 2 bedroom apartment in this building would have 2 bathrooms. This bathroom being large makes me think that the original bathroom was most likely more luxurious but doesn’t meet todays version of updates. This is definitely a nice place to live. BTW, in the 1970’s in a brand new building with a concierge and pools on the upper east side I paid, including electric, gas and central air $319 per month for a one bedroom apartment.

Cash's face in the thumbnails is getting more and more excited as this pandemic continues lol Very spacious apartment. Extra storage wouldn't be an issue. Nice.

I liked this one a lot, did think the living room was little dark but the right lighting could help. Also i though the little extra space in the kitchen would have been better as a pantry.
