With regard to the coordinate difference in the app - check the format. There are six or seven versions of it and some of them look very similar... P.S. Everyone, do not worry too much about slight inconsistencies. My experience (pretty extensive) shows that in more extreme conditions it does not count so much. A map, a traditional compass and, first of all, the skill to use those, are real game changers. A watch is always a backup thing. It doesn't mean the video like this is unimportant - quite the opposite. It's good to know your equipment. Thus, thank you for the content. Merry Christmas everyone 👍

Hey buddy... What a cracking comment my friend :) Don't worry too much is exactly what I would say... and a compass and map is always the winner, but I've found that keeping a clean pair of socks is one that shouldn't be excluded from importunities. I would love to spend time with Ray Mears, as his knowledge is life saving, and I've never seen him even unfold a soggy map :-P Merry Christmas too and thanks again :)

Thank you! Educational and a good caparison. Still very happy with my GW-9400 Rangeman purchase a while back and I too find the Alt/Baro functions quite accurate provided you calibrate them to a standard prior to use.
@WatchUP69MrRangeman4 жыл бұрын
The altimeter will always need a calibration as it's also the sensor for the weather... fantastic G-Shock and has become an iconic favourite :) Cheers and have a great weekend :)

Very cool comparison! Thanks for doing this! My takeaway: Casio should do an upgrade of the GW9400 Rangeman to include a steel case and lug bars, a slightly domed sapphire crystal, and...resin keeper. It would be the perfect G-Shock with those. The GPR seems like a really cool watch, but the simplicity of the GW9400 beats it, IMO. I really love mine.

Awesome video! BTW did you know that the replacement battery for the GPR B1000 is not produced or available anywhere (there is one obscure store in Poland and they cost $125) So it's not a watch that you can expect to have for decades like say a dw5000c. What are your thoughts.

For 1000 cad, it is extremely disappointing to see the altimeter and gps be inaccurate, and that data transfer is not working. Thanks for the video.

Thank you for video. I have a question regarding my screen: what does TL mean and how can I take it out ?
@WatchUP69MrRangeman4 жыл бұрын
TL is the Auto light, so works when in low light, so when you flip your wrist the backlight comes on for a few seconds. So from the time screen press on button 'A' top left to enter the settings menu... now follow the link below>>> kzbin.info/www/bejne/npqqdmOFbqunacU This is my full tutorial video, so worth watching it all to understand everything needed :))

Hi just a quick question, will the video be uploaded anytime of the size comparison between the GPRB1000 and the GPW2000 you did a while back? I remember the review of the GPRB1000 and you did a size comparison. I'm looking to buy the GPW2000 just wanted to compare. Thanks

Unfortunately that huge video has been lost, took me ages as the Gravitymaster is all analog and has a lot involved with the manual side, but really it's all done through the connected app. Are you on Instagram as I could post a few pictures of them side by side from various angles... just search for 'WatchUP69' if so. Let me know and I would be happy to setup the light box for that :) Cheers!

Hi again. Playing around with the rangeman and I can’t seem to turn off GPS. The point on bottom of screen stays on. Any advise Thank u
@WatchUP69MrRangeman4 жыл бұрын
Hey... Ok let’s help you.... open up the navigation unless you’re already in navigation by pressing the crown.... it doesn’t matter which navigation screen you’re in with regards to scale or if it’s showing the bearing GPS compass, press button ‘D’ (bottom right) and it’ll bring up an option menu, and there you’ll see ‘QUIT’ select this using the crown and a 10sec reminder will pop up, then either ignore and it’ll turn off the GPS automatically, or press the crown again to stop the GPS. Once you’ve done it you’ll always remember ;)

can you still use the GPS activity logs even if you have reached the 20 maximum logs?
@WatchUP69MrRangeman4 жыл бұрын
Good question... unless you have all 20 Logs (Activities) locked, it’ll write over the oldest Log first and so on. You can’t navigate using the Logs/Activity once you stopped the GPS, so it’s only data that can be read on the app... it’ll remain on the app and watch till you delete it. If the Log/Activities have been transferred to the app then when you delete them off the watch the logs/Activities will remain on the app, this works also for the app side. If you lose your device with app and have deleted the logs/Activities on the watch then there’s no way to get this back... I usually transfer the data over two devices just to be safe, it’s just a matter of clearing the Bluetooth on the watch so it can connect to another device... it sounds complicated but isn’t really, but that’s an option if needed. I’ve answered your question more than needed, but at least you know exactly how it works.

how do you install those two steel guard on rangeman ?
@WatchUP69MrRangeman4 жыл бұрын
Hey buddy... I have to be honest, they caused nothing but harm... they're called Bull-Bars. I managed to catch the bull-bar on the lock on my shed door which twisted my wrist and managed to scratch the crystal... and to make things worse, the bars have damaged my bezel as it has been resting on it... but why end there, it also messes up the compass... now I did have a video on it form my first channel, and I'm trying to find it again... if I do find it I will post it... but they do look cool, but if they were that good then G-Shock would have them on all their G-Shocks... this is just my opinion and experience... sometimes you think you're doing good, but then a twist of bad luck happens! They also catch threads too, say on your jeans pockets... to be frank I threw mine away, and jaysandkays who I bought the bull-bar from had no interest in the damage to my bezel, found them very rude over the matter... now seen they've added what damage they can cause to keep them from getting sued I guess... so not in my book of recommendations, but looks like others love their crap and are happy getting ripped off by them, as these parts can be bought much much cheaper elsewhere. It's your choice buddy whether you want the look or damage?
