Ahh yes I've been looking forward to this video for so long! I can see you've drastically improved your production quality for this video, especially with the unboxing and Bluetooth part. About the watch, I'd say that Casio is trying to move to a new generation of watches, they really are experimenting with this release, excited to see what they can make in the future. Finaly, GPR reviewed by G-Shock expert!!! Anyway, tried and compared it with my 1st gen Rangeman on my 7" wrist at the store last week and it's still looks gigantic!!! All features in this watch are beast, too bad the altimeter still uses air pressure sensor which is not very accurate.

This monster is still massive even for big guy IMO. I don’t mind wearing it even with my skinny wrist. I like all the thing that it could do! From the manual, yeah Casio did mention that it use atmospheric pressure to measure altitude. I’m guessing Casio still use the same triple sensor tech as in other model and add it in here. However, I can’t be certain how, the sensor is much more precise than my other triple sensor model.

A quick CORRECTION on the altimeter. The watch will use the atmospheric pressure & the GPS signal to calculate the elevation! I just find out about this. :)

What is your everyday Gshock beater watch? Do you prefer to rock this B1000TLC on a daily basis? Any other B1000 Rangeman you own? Like original black, green etc. Which one is your favorite?

Ditch that "FrankenStrap", get the jaysandkays adapters, and put a nice NATO or ZULU strap on it and you'll never go back. Any color, pattern, or material you want ... quick change of straps ... the adapters are black anodized aluminum and match the watch perfectly. Get rid of that monstrosity of a strap!

How’s the battery life on term of using as a time keeping mode only? Same as average tough solar G’s? I’m probably won’t using the wireless charging or heavy GPS use that often

If you’re just use it as a regular G-Shocks then you don’t have to worry at all.

It works great as a backup though. Since it is durable & longer lasting battery thanks to the solar charging. Something that no other navigational device can do.

It is incredibly limited release, I'll be surprised if ones could found them as easy. You could try getting them from resellers though if you're still looking. Yahoo Japan Auction or ebay would do.

Does the Altimeter on this watch function the same as the Gulfmaster (meaning a change in barometric pressure, alters the altimeter readings?) Ps another great review, thanks for educating us👍

Yes sir, the altimeter still depends on atmospheric pressure to work. So far, I can tell that it is much more precise though. Probably need to test it even more soon.

gshock highfashion cool, would be good to know! Am a bit disappointed with the GM as in the same place (the next day) mine can vary 50 - 60 meters with very similar weather 🤔

Probably we need to calibrate out GM first. I just use mine as it is, never tried to adjust the sensor at all just yet. 😅

gshock highfashion any info on how to do this would be greatly appreciated 🙏👍 I am aware that the barometric pressure can affect the altitude reading, but 50 odd meters seems a bit “excessive” 🤔 (maybe I have a fault.) Hey I would make a CORRECTION on my previous reply. The altimeter for this watch actually calculated using the Atmospheric pressure sensor & GPS signal (automatic) In the condition, the GPS navigationa had to be turn ON first! I had been wondering why it is much more precise than my other master of g. Now I know why.🤯🤯

Does the GPS show your location? Can it guide you to a location?

It could retrieve coordinates if I'm not mistaken for path tracking and back tracking. It didn't have any map data built in. For location guidance, you'll need to register it all in using the app from your phone beforehand. It could recall a path for backtracking though.

I have a really skinny wrist too man. Totally understands you but this is the first generation model & this is all that we have. probably they’ll more soon with smallee sizes. Another model that closely look like it the GWG-1000 or GWG-100.

Totally not the same as the GW-9400 mode though. But for with the rest of the GPS model, yes sir. The retail price is exact the same as the rest as well. Might as well get this one instead since it is much more limited.
