Compass goes on bottom side of the strap. But this watch already has a built in compass

Compass goes on the top, because it's for show, not for actual use. :) Offset can be set on internal compass to provide TRUE North, whereas the add-on compass is to see the MAGNETIC North alongside that true North. :)
