Is there tutorial on removing the lines from the eye?
@WatchUP69MrRangeman3 жыл бұрын
There isn't... it wasn't easy, as the back part of the polarise film has to be removed, and at anytime, you can easily crack the LCD glass... and you can't find replacements either! It's all a risk, but is a game changer having a readable sub-dial... have no idea why the GW-9400 sub-dial isn't like that on the GWF-D1000???
@michaelm98712 жыл бұрын
I've never understood why digital watches don't have a passive lume dial and vice versa, why so few analogue quartz watches have LEDs or EL backlights. The LED/EL is obviously superior in that it doesn't need to be charged, so no matter what you'll be able to read the time. However passive lume is great and would save on the battery, why not do both whenever possible? The only non timex analogue watch w/ LED backlight that I know of off the top of my head is a Casio Oceanus that's rather expensive.

Good luck finding your springs so we can see those lights working again (have you tried the stocking over the end of the vacuum cleaner yet?) Oh also another idea (but am sure your one step ahead) can you gently press a clear film onto the lume you paint on to try and evenly flatten it out (But I guess it would have to stay there that’s all) but it might help spread it evenly 🤔🤷♂️, again, great vid and thanks for sharing👍🍻

Could you please do a review, even short and even without the actual watch, of the Garmin Instinct Solar? Maybe a comparison vs the Fenix? I would like to see how to navigate with it, if I can use apps as Komoot, if I can store routes and tracks... I know there are several reviews already there but no one seems to highlight the differences. Many thanks
@domxem55514 жыл бұрын
Mr Rangeman (apologies for the lack of knowledge of your real name): I will have a look at your Instinct‘s review from 7 months ago. It is not the solar version but I don’t think that changes the way it manages navigation. Thanks a lot
@WatchUP69MrRangeman4 жыл бұрын
@@domxem5551 To be honest I don't think there's much difference between the navigational side... it all depends how long you're wanting to use the GPS, as for me the Gen1 Instinct has plenty of battery for a good days worth, and by adjusting some settings you can push it over 30hrs. Komoot is great, but use it more on my devices as sometimes it's not always easy to plan, I take from Komoot some of the ideas and activities others have used, and combine that with Garmin Explore to make my own route :) I would like to test the solar Instinct by doing one of my pointless GPS tests that i've done before against the GPR-B1000 G-Shock, but that will be next year if it happens :)
