I could watch you work with sheet metal all day. My father was a welder and a whiz creating structure similar to this. As a kid I was his helper. Great job Kiwi. Thanks for the memories.

Great idea with the removable panel up top! I've boxed in the (weak) upper support on different cars, it helps, but this is a way better solution. Thanks for the great ideas!!

I replaced my radiator a couple of weeks ago with an aftermarket one, which was larger. It's pretty straightforward. Only thing is now the truck runs a lot cooler. Might become a problem when it's 40 below zero this winter.

Back in the 80s I was living west TX I got tired of my 67 Mustang over heating so I found a radiator from a 70s LTD station wagon and made it fit. The bottom tank set on the frame at the bottom, I did have to have to flatten the top tank a little to get the cap clear of the hood, but it never over heated again

I'm mystified why all retro mods seem to go with these crazy 600 or more HP builds! Are they going to the drag strip trying to run under 10's? I'd love a retro mod with a 300 or so HP short block as a nice cruiser. Add in vintage A/C for me down here in FL....

What's your thought on spot? Welders I know you like doing them all with drilling and doing it that way. But have you thought about a spot welder and some applications? It would work easier than others. What do you think on that? By the way, that was a good job. I really like that. 👍👍🙂🇨🇦
@cpzmelbs6 ай бұрын
I’ll take this question, cheers. If you want to spot weld go ahead, it will work well. I don’t have a spot welder but I’ll jump in the garage right now and find plenty of uses for one if it’s your shout. Heck I’ll let you borrow it whenever you’d like too! 👍 thanks mate 🇦🇺🍻
