Some of the most beautiful music ever written. I feel bad for people who haven't heard this.

Thank god music like this exists. I discovered Caspian when I was in college back in '07-08' and this band, Maserati, American Football, Unwed Sailor, If These Trees Could Talk, Tristeza-the greats of post-rock, really-were all that kept me from offing myself. I still love Caspian, and this is no exception.

Don't usually listen to music like this, was introduced by my Son. Can honestly say, I don't regret it. I've never known an instrumental track to make me feel simultaneously exhilarated and sombre. What an incredible track, thank you Caspian, thank you Son.

The title of this song makes me really sad. Actually, it's hard for me to listen to this song because I start to get really emotional. My grandfather is a member of the greatest generation (WWII vet) and I knew several others while I worked at an assisted living facility. Such gentle, wonderful people. We'll lose so much when they're gone.

heywaitMarlee I was just thinking I hope someone makes a heartfelt video with this song to photos and stock video footage from our grandparent's generation/ww2, families bidding their fathers, brothers and sons, wives, sisters and daughters farewell as they head off to fight for freedom, the life back home during that time, families reuniting afterwards, maybe ending up with a slideshow of veterans comparing pictures of them then to newer photos of them in old age with their kids, grandkids, and great grandkids with them.

Such a contrast from modern culture that almost despises the elderly and their wisdom. No 'generation' is perfect or unique. We are all going through our journeys as best we can on this planet. Fighting for a destiny or purpose. A distinct meaning that makes life great. Whatever generation you are. Whether young or old...you contributed to the cosmic tapestry that is the cycle of life. Part of this chain that has been ongoing for many millennia. Salute the elders who came before. They have both wisdom and sacrifice whether we realize it or not. One day we will join them as well...and the cycle continues for another generation.

Jaz Coleman or Peter Hook could give this to one of their pet orchestras to cover. i’d completed burying our 14 yr old black Lab Peppa & sat back with muddy shovel staring at the graves’ heap of soil with this loudly coming from the Erbauer Builders Radio & out across the neighbourhoods gardens . with us having listened to the tune during our times on the forest heaths it provoked my bawling my eyes out for the first time for 25 years . Thanks Caspian. ❤️

Yeah but how much of the population even listens to music like this? We're unfortunately the .01%...probably less. Most see music as a temporary escape or a medium to isolate noise from their surroundings. How many people seek music to feel emotion? Nostalgia, joy, pain, fear....music can convey a litany of emotions and self-discovery. They can take you into journeys beyond a book could and open your creativity. So few people experience music for the sake of music....and it's sad.
