I've been trying out different products just because people said it work, but as you said, we all have different skin and body and I must accept that. But because of your videos, I'm becoming more aware and I'm learning more about my skin and how should I take care of it. I'm someone who can't afford to go to the doctor but because of you, I'm learning and I'm very much thankful for that. Thank you for this. I'm just glad that someone like you is doing this to educate me who has oily and acne-prone skin but who's afraid to try products. I got the Pyunkang Yul ess/ toner just the other day, mostly because it was recommended for the 7 skin method. Plus I wanted a toner without an acid for nights I want to use other actives. It's been so smoothing and is wonderful when you layer it on! Pro tip: Get a pointy nail file to open it! I was not even about to sacrifice my nails to that! 😅 but I do love the feel of this toner, and the box is great to use for makeup brushes! Reduce reuse recycle! ☺️

Pyunkang Yul is one of my favourite brands, I love their essence toner. and I am now interested in that Be Plain cleanser!!! I want it! Lesson: How to pronounce “Pyungkang Yul.” Two things you need to know about Korean names is that the “u” part usually is pronounced as “eo” if it is preceded by a "y," and the “k” sound is actually more of a “g/gh” sound. Pronounce the “p” like p as in pickle. Pronounce “yu” like the yeo part of yeoman (this the closest way I can make you understand without meeting for real, reference video here kzbin.info/www/bejne/ooalpIaja9yhfdE) and add the “ng” part at the end. Basically read “kang” as “ghang.” Yul is pronounced just like “yule.”

I feel the Pyunkang Yul moisture cream has been grossly undersold in this lovely video. It is hands down the best am and pm moisturiser for very oily, very sensitive, very acne prone skin. It is the only thing in this world not to be sticky on top of your skin but it sinks in and gives hydrated and cooling feel on your skin. Excellent with sunscreen and makeup. Highly recommended. The only thing I would say is that you need something else with it long-term for brightening, anti-aging or any other skin concern. I used this for years and I always have .ca three back-ups. If you are cash stripped that cream is the thing to buy, the rest is luxury and fairly easily replaced with something else.

My mild, vegan and cruelty free Korean skincare routine for my skin that's sensitive and prone to both eczema and acne: (I've been into Korean skincare for 6 years and have been vegan for 4 years 🐰💚) My evening cleansing routine starts with massaging the iUNIK Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil onto dry skin to remove makeup, sunscreen and any dirt or excess oils. I emulsify it with some water and rinse. On the wet skin, I continue cleansing with a water based cleanser, either the iUNIK Centella Bubble Cleansing Foam (on days with acne 🦠) or the Heimish All Clean Green Foam or the Rovectin Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser (on days with dryness/sensitivity/eczema 🔥) and make sure every trace of cleanser is rinsed off with water. Once a week I follow up with a mild exfoliation using the Benton PHA Peeling Gel. 😊 Sometimes I go to bed with an acne patch (cruelty free brands that do pimple patches are COSRX, By Wishtrend and Purito) or the Benton Goodbye Redness Centella Spot Cream. A couple of times per month my eczema prone skin needs some desperate soothing from the Isntree Real Rose Calming Mask or a gentle vegan sheet mask at this step after cleansing (and I'd like to try a mask based on mugwort, centella or green tea when I run out of the rose mask). Then I pat in some toner with my hands (no cotton pads needed!) onto my damp skin (Benton Deep Green Tea Toner, Klairs Fundamental Ampule Mist, Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Toner Plus and Keep Cool and Soothe Bamboo Toner are my favourites) and a serum if my skin feels like it needs it. For clarifying I like the Isntree Spot Saver Mugwort Ampoule, the Rovectin Clean LHA Blemish Ampule, the TIA'M Vita B3 Source and the iUNIK Tea Tree Relief Serum. 🌿 For hydrating either the Benton Deep Green Tea Serum, the Purito Centella Unscented Serum, the Purito Pure Hyaluronic Acid 90 Serum or the iUNIK Beta-Glucan Power Moisture Serum. 💦 And I end the night time routine with some Benton Fermentation Eye Cream (I've repurchased this at least 5 times because it saved my eyelids from eczema flareups - I feel like I really enjoy eye cream because I can get both millia and eczema around my eyes - but I only ever buy eye cream when it's on sale though! 😏) and a moisturiser (Bonajour Green Tea Water Bomb, Barr Centella Calming Barrier Cream, COSRX B5 D-Panthenol Cream, Olivarrier Emollient Extra Comfort Cream, COSRX Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask or Purito Dermide Cica Barrier Sleeping Pack). 🥰 On days when my skin needs something extra to seal in all of the hydration, I mix a couple of drops of squalane oil, macadamia oil or rosehip seed oil into the moisturiser (tamanu oil is supposed to be great for my skin type as well, but I haven't tried it yet). Lastly, I apply the Aromatica Lip Nectar, the Aromatica Comforting Calendula Decoction Balm or the Hurraw Moon Lip Balm (the only non-Korean thing that touches my skin apparently lol ❤️🇰🇷) And in the day time I don't double cleanse. Most often it's just a quick rinse with water, use a toner and sometimes a serum, switch the eye cream to the Klairs Fundamental Eye Awakening Gel and end the routine with either the Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence SPF50+ or the Purito Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ and the Hurraw SPF 15 Sun Lip Balm! ☀️ This sounds like A LOT of products, but sometimes it's just a splash of water and toner, some eye gel and a sunscreen. YesStyle has been my personal fav webshop for Korean skincare for over 5 years, but Stylevana's range of cruelty free brands sounds great as well! 😍 I live in Belgium and I'm not sure if I should order from their French or UK homepage...

I don't know if this video popping up is a coincidence seeing as I've just purchased a Korean skincare haul 😅 (from yesstyle rather than style vana) but I am soooo glad to see that you included Pyunkang Yul essence toner as I've ordered that, it's got thousands of great reviews and I'm so glad to see it will be safe for acne prone skin! Can't wait for it to arrive! Thank you so much for all your informative videos 😍🦋

Acne problem? Try CosRx AC Collection Intensive Set the sampler is a great way to calm it and minimize oil. This works for me. This contains cleanser, toner (used once to twice a week), lightweight moisturizer and spot cream at night. In the morning, you can go with whatever skin routine you prefer.

Please try the CosRx Centella Blemish Cream. Is more of a spot treatment with centela asiática that you put on your red, inflamed, or acne areas. I would love to see your feedback

Hey Cassandra, are you Swedish? I am too but I live in the UK. It's also my 50th birthday today! Btw, did you know that Pyunkang Yul is no longer cruelty free as they sell in China now. I'm 47 and haven't had acne since adolescence but now i've got mascne. It's so weird. Love your channel and your passion for effective, affordable, cruelty free and sustainable skincare. :) Btw, thank you so much for only a couple of flippy flippies. It's very much appreciated. Heyda (bye). Jess x

The thing about k-beauty is that in Korea, derms are so much more accessible so most people who have acne will most likely use prescribed medication. Ive lived in Korea for the past 4 years btw.
